I downloaded it. Every time I try to run the installer I get a "setup.exe is not working" or something like that, I give up on this game.

The game needs to go back to closed beta in my opinion. The download doesn't even work correctly. It patches to about 50% and then gives me an error message.

I redownloaded it on bit torrent and I still get the "setup.exe has stopped working" error.
edit: I got it to work, and the fix is extremely weird....
I unzipped it, opened it, didn't work, deleted it; went in my garbage can, restored it (undeleted), and it worked fine.
edit2: OMG 1680x1050 SUPPORT. THANK GOD.
edit3: my name is Helios. Game seems really reallly good for a free game. The quest system looks solid enough, the graphics are great for a free game, and most importantly - the WASD, 1680x1050, etc, all those features that make a game not half-assed are included.

I'm surprised by the low responds for this game... Ignore Piootr's lousy ass screenshots, the game is frigging great Spoiler for screenshots

Probably because almost no one can play it. My game crashes to the desktop for no apparent reason.

I might try the game again, and not roll a class that has 30 second downtime (literally) between kills.

How bout you fraps some stuff and put up a movie on Vimeo (HD) for us ^ ^ Erm, I'm running on it on a laptop... This game is too quite intensive for it. I can try and hook up something though. C'mon guys, this is the MMORPG you always wanted. Free with GREAT graphics, gameplay, environment and even sounds/BGM. Premium users don't get crazy advantage over non-premium like SRO, they just get XP and drop rate boost with reduce XP lost when dead. Item malls are not overpowered too, with just random stuff and available at a low price. A mount just costs $2-$3 a month, depending on how fast they are and they are also available in game through a quest. Not a grind fest at all because this is a quest based game. I'm getting 0.7% from a mob my level from grinding just had to solo because quests ran dry. Tons of features that SRO lacked, such as PVP battlegrounds, instances, mail system and auction house. Basically, a rip off of WoW but just a zillion times better, especially with the blood. And oh yea, there are more than one way for mobs to die, so sit back and enjoy.

Lets see why 1) Most classes are MP inefficient. There's nothing fun about using auto attack half the time (even with MP pots). 2) The game had a lot of bugs in open beta. I guess quite a few off them, aren't fixed. 3) The game is a grindfest. Sure you have quests, but they include grinding as well. And if your not grinding for your quest, you'll be running to the other side of them map and back. 4) Class balance isn't that good. 5) Obnoxious pick up system. Press key to pick up items, press another key to receive the items (or clicking which items you want). In a pt it's not nice either. If you use order distribution (needed for roll iirc) you'll slow the pt down, because only 1 person can pick it up. Oh and once you picked something up, forget about dropping it, because you can't. It's either NPC or auction house. 6) The unique feature didn't last long enough. They should slow down their clock or nightmare time stays a joke. A few things why you shouldn't play requiem.

I find those points to be severely exaggerated, however, you won't know until you try the game yourself..and it sure as F*** is fun....anyway, a PvP match in the battleground was going on just now, and i took some screens for ya guys =D. and for takolin takolin wrote: The game IS worth it. Lets see why
1) Most classes are MP inefficient. There's nothing fun about using auto attack half the time (even with MP pots). This only lasts until about level 15, which is easy to pass...mp consumption/mp regen skills get way more useful.
2) The game had a lot of bugs in open beta. I guess quite a few off them, aren't fixed. Name some? A lot of bugs actually were fixed.
3) The game is a grindfest. Sure you have quests, but they include grinding as well. And if your not grinding for your quest, you'll be running to the other side of them map and back. Practically any MMO is, if your not prepared to grind a bit, don't play MMOs, however....the amount of grinding needed in this game is really not bad at all.
4) Class balance isn't that good. At low levels, yes, however at 25 + melle/healer classes start to get fear/sprint/stun/sleep ETC. Makign it more skill based
5) Obnoxious pick up system. All you have to do is press the "H" button, and it's all autolooted, problem solved.
6) The unique feature didn't last long enough. They should slow down their clock or nightmare time stays a joke. If the nightmare mobs stayed for any longer, they would not be a challenge to kill/find....besides they appear every two real life hours for about 30min, thats quite constant.
A few things why you should play requiem.

Getting a constant 600kb/s using Orbit download manager using their download link. Not too shabby. I'll have a look at the game
