Since when is cold glavie regarded as the best? I thought we were supposed to be arguing fire glaive/blade/hybrid as the best?

Pros: Relatively high dmg
Almost impossible to kill with a str user
Low amount of SP

Cons: Cold imbue can be negated at high lvls
Nukers will have a field day with you
Slow to lvl up

Meh, it isnt great, believe me, I'll try to think of some, as far as my knowledge goes...

A pure str glaiver does massive damage, and has loads of HP, so barely needs HP pots.

If you use Ice, you'll be less likely to get hit, which is worthless for Pure str's because they got so many health. Fire on the other side, does the most damage, which is needed for Pure str's because they have a low magical balance.

Ice is ok for the buffs, but is worthless for the Imbue as a glaiver.

Well, I am playing a 35 Glaive/Ice character now. I know I may not do the same damage of someone with the same level of Fire, but I like the way it plays. I have not gotten very big into the PK aspect of SRO, yet...and I do not know if I will, but for hunting I like the build a lot.

Now, I am not "Pure" STR...I think I have 12 points (or something like that) into INT (blame it on being a n00b), but I think I am close enough for some of the same principles to apply.

For me, there is nothing like Freezing/Frostbiting 3+ mobs at a time when I get ganged...or if I am just up to a challenge.

Sure, I have heard that at high levels folks can make themselves completely immune to ice, but they have really been immune to Fire/Lightning (other than the extra dmg per swing, obviously) since the advent of auto pills.

Like I said, I really like the build. It works for me. If you are wanting to see the highest possible damage numbers when you crit...go Fire, but if you like the idea of slowing mobs, or completely stopping them in their tracks, as well as, frustrating a lot of people in PvP that aren't immune to Ice, yet...it is a fun build.

Well, there you have it. My $.02 worth.
