I would go fire, it does more damage and with new alchemy system ice is pointless, fire is good for pve to, does decent damage and ur full str so you shouldnt have to many issues tanking and fighting monsters.

Yeah that sums it up nicely.

No point in using ice on monsters when you can wreck them twice as fast with fire.

Sorry dude but I don't see the point in using something on monsters that does less damage. And for pure STR fire is a must becuase it gives you 15+% to the damage and the imbue does more dmg.

PvP : Fire
PvE : Fire again

Edit : Cold is better for PvE till lvl 30. (because you don't see 5% phy dmg increase from the skills and you don't see 40 dmg from the Imbue) After that Fire owns.

When I used ice on my hybrid bow I killed just as fast as anyone else, faster than pure str but not as fast as pure int. Plus I could of grinding on Red mobs because they did not get any hits in because of being frozen.

I've been there, done that.

After the new alchemy i wont even thing about going Ice..
I am a blader and i had a really hard time to pick fire or ice. but in the end i went fire and i am really glad i did because of the new alchemy..
IMO you should go fire.. you will hit more and its really good vs giants in PVE..
