So theres this air show in yipslanti (I know wrong spelling), michigan every year. I went a couple times before and this year I just decided to go because I was bored.
The air show has everything world war 2 related, they have WWII veterans, real WWII vehicles, tanks, planes, fighters, guns, etc. So its pretty cool cause its all living history. So learn some history now and the exploits of Americans in europe against nazi germany!
This is a willys US army jeep used a lot during WWII. Its very iconic
This is the M4 Sherman tank, the representative American medium tank in europe. It was a very good tank but unfortunately got its butt kicked a lot by the more powerful german tanks. Its for infantry support, so it wasn't meant for tank fighting anyways.

This is the M24 Chaffee, a light tank that was used for reconnasaince

This is the M3 Stuart tank, another light tank that was outdated by the time of WWII. But it was very useful in the pacific war because even this tank was fast and superior to the Japanese tanks.

Enough with tanks! This is the B-24 Liberator, an American heavy bomber used extensively. It was overshadowed by the B-17, yet the B-24 had a higher speed and longer range.

Now this is the B-17, one of the most recognizable heavy bombers in the history of American air force. Its really beautiful and I got to see it fly (yes the actual one used during WWII

), really really awesome. You should look up pictures of this on google. There are very few B-17 bombers still flying today.

This is a C-47 Skytrain, a transport used a lot for paratroopers. You'll recognize it if you seen band of brothers or some other war movie. Its spacious inside but looks uncomfortable to ride. There are actually some air forces in other countries that still use the skytrain.

P-51 mustang, another recognizable fighter plane. It was used a lot for protecting bombers during bombing missions

Hawker Hurricane, which was made and used by the britishi against Germany. It fought alongside the supermarine spitfire, and even when it was outdated during WWII, it was actually very useful in combat

B-17 flying

This is a german anti-tank Jagdpanther, used to destroy allied tanks, which it was very good at.

An A-10 thunderbolt, which the American Air Force uses today. Its a tank killer so its equipped with a lot of anti-ground weapons including the avenger gatling gun seen on its nose here. Its a really awesome jet.

Oh heres the B-17 nose, check the guns

Back part of B-17 with the tail and the side guns

If you played call of duty, then this should be recognizable, which is a panzershrek, which blows up tanks. used by germans

MP-44, another german weapon, its considered the first assault rifle ever made. The M16 and Ak-47 both took ideas off this weapon. Those german engineers are amazing. The technology used by the germans during WWII was outstanding, you should read about it. For example, the King Tiger tank was 10 years ahead in technology when first made. The V2 rockets were Germany's epic fail attempts to shoot rockets. And the germans made the first jet powered fighter aircraft.

MP40, a submachinegun used by germans, which is recognizable as well

MG42, heavy machinegun, used by germans

M3 half-track

And thats me excited over manning a .30 cal machinegun on the M3 half-track, which was pretty sweet to ride on

EDIT: I think my bro has some more pictures on his camera, have to go look for it now
