 Post subject: Pills vs. Detect skills.

Anyone else think that detect skills are sort of a waste of sp? esp when the range is small and has such a long cooldown? Pills are more effective in my opinion.
What do you guys think? I didn't even take descry on my warrior.

Skills just need sp, pills need gold. For some people the first is easier to get then the later.

Pills allow you to be mobile and detect, with other stealth moves you have to know where they are standing 1st to ensure your de-stealth hits them, id rather take the pills..

If I had a skill I would take the skill, but I have to use pills I have no choice.

And the skills are mobile as well I beleive those also are area buffs anyone in that circle of cast can use the buff, I dont think the pills do that. oO

The most pathetic skill I know of is Fire Combustion and Vision of fire combustion....when you use it you have to facking guess where the invisible/stealth wiz/rogue is at lol (15 Meters)and when use the skill must hit the stealth/invisible rogue/wiz (like u know where the fck they are)...is not like u use it and run around for 120 sec..and u will be able to see anyone in steath/inv...thats what the pill does.

i've made use of both, only thing i don't like is descry only works for rogues, so having pills are a good idea, as long as you remember to buy enough, but the skills aren't entirely useless if you have a dagger rogue around you know they are probally getting closer to you if you know you are the target, surprised the hell out of some rogues in ctf that way on my warrior, its like ya i saw you restealth, i knew you was coming. The skills can get you by sort of if you don't got the pills but the pills are better because they see both rogues and wizards and the last a bit plus you can move around so you have some more guessing room then descry/detect/combustions

yea and the CD on the pill is like 20 seconds while CD on the skill is 2 mins =.=

I dont know a pratical use for it, unless your near mobs/alot of other ppl who arnt in your pt, then they can detect stealth, I think its more of a party buff, but im not rly sure :/ id say just get pills if you have the gold.

- cool down ( idk if is well writed) 20 segs and the skill is more than that :P

well i do have like 300mil and can afford 1mil / stack. That and i rarely have to use pills. maybe to get an invis flag holder in CTF which i never do.

Im a warrior too, and I have it but never use it. The 2 minute cool down is pathetic, but it has helped me a few times.

Could someone clarify - i understand that to use Vision Fire Combustion etc u have to cast when the invisible/stealth is near you. Its no good casting it and waiting for someone to walk into it, cause it only works at the moment of casting.
If your trying to protect flag from invisible players, its useless.
Correct me if im wrong

No.... that's prob the ONLY time it's not useless. The moment you see the yellow bar going down near the flag kinda gives u the clue that they are RIGHT NEXT to the flag. So cast it than and kill them. Any other time combustion is useless, especially if they have the flag unless you happen to notice the flag drop, than just dash over and use the skill asap.

uhh, the detect skill from the wizard tree is when u use it u can move to.. and not on one place only like that fire combustion? or im wrong?

No. I only have my descry @ Lv1...not even gonna bother leveling it higher. Buy the pills, they're better.

im a rogue and i rarely allow myself to get caught in a descry...chances if if they've used it im already about to attack them anyway. Pills are far more annoying.

Now you're talking about rogues..

Descy has a range of 10.0meters.

Now, when you're a rogue, your xbow already has a range of 18.0meters
If you skilled the wide sight, you can have already an increase of more than 3meters(goes up when you upgrade that skill).
Distance shot has an extra range of 7.0meters & is your strongest skill as far as I know.
So this makes a range of 28meters, what makes descry totally useless..
