Since it's my first post, i wish to thany everyone on this forum for the wealth of information which was priceless in the process of learning the game's mechanics.
Now, on to the point, I started playing Silkroad a while ago, made at least 6-7 characters (of whom only 3 made it past level 16 and only one past 24), but I've been unhappy with most. I just didn't have the patience to make it to level 30 with pure ints (and the sheer amount of dying was quite a deterrant), and the fire blade was just too slow for my style. I don't want a glaive (seems tempting but i just don't want to have a build that is played by 99% of the server). As far as hybrids go i don't have enough faith in their power and i'd like to wait a while and see how high level players fare. Thus, in desperation I turned to the only thing i haven't tried so far: the pure str fire bow (noway i will get ice unless some patch fixes the immunity).
But i'm not sure how well it would work out for my playing style (i want to focus a lot on jobs and group pvp; 1v1 would be nice but I am not the one to fancy duels). Basically I want to be a thief and gank unsuspecting people by using the element of surprise; but being able to live trough if that is lost is quite important. I want to hit as fast and hard as possible, and take them out before they know what happened.
Unfortunatelly altough I wasted a good 2 hours with the search function, input on str bows was sparse at best. The 2 stickied guilds did not help much either (except for confirming that bow+fire+light is the way to go); no offense to the authors, i apreciate their effort and the information they provided me with.
So in conclusion I would like to hear what people (especially caped and high lvls) think of this build. Is it good in pvp(wars)/thieving, and worth following to the end? Should i rather put up with leveling a nuker and is that better for my purposes? Is the lack of stun/knockback compensated by range? And if the bowman dosen't cut it, what is the most suitable thief build that will do well in wars or small group battles?
I would really like a straightforward answer on this (not a "all builds have pros and cons" or "try it yourself", because i dont have enough time lately, and if i have to reroll yet again i think it will be the end of my sro days. (If i see another yeoha again it's going to be too soon). Thank you in advance.
Ps: what server should i start on? I used to go for the newest servers available (greece and then olympus) but i'm thinking that xian, being the oldest, might have less newbies, making leveling easier.

While I'm the author of one of the guides and obvuiously biased, I don't know what else could be done other than level the characters for you to give you information on a strength fire bow build.

People always ask about PvP builds, until you understand how to kill mobs you can't kill people, thus you need to go out and try it. You also need to be aware that you will not be effective at pvp at level 20.

Since you don't have time to try things out perhaps you should try an easier game, like minesweeper or guild wars. SRO is not a casual game.
