Post subject: Int archer or hybrid Int/str archer?

I'm a level 4x archer with some questions as to what would be the best path for my build

right now i am pure int bow. I do have fire nuke and i do have lightning nuke, but i focus more on the bow skills (anti devil, strong bow) and the fire nuke.

I'm not gonna lie, i think i'm pretty strong at PvE. I can hold my own against oranges and reds much higher level than i am. Problem is, i want more damage.

If i stick with pure int, will my bow skills hold me back? is it pointless to have bow skills without putting points in STR? Maybe should I stop leveling up bow and stick with lightning and fire nukes? If I put points in STR untill i reach higher levels will that significantly help my bow attacks out? Or should i considder downleveling one of my trees and focus on the other?

So basicly i am looking for your oppinions on an INT archer, and on a half INT half STR archer. Which one is better do you think?

Thank you for your help.

I think a Int heavy hybrid is a good build to go for, but a 1:1 build could also be good. I don't know it depends.

just my suggestion,be a pure int as u're lvl4x already,if u turn to bow skill its will take less damage to mob coz ur str r less to much!!

I think what he meant to say was:

if u use ur bow skills it will do less damage to mobs because ur STR is little.. ^_^

DE-level bow go get nukes... that's the best option.

A bower's main strength is the ability to crit often and quickly... int does nothing to add to it, but strength does. So either start a new character pure strength or ditch the bow.

PS. Guys... everyone if you spell correctly it makes reading much more understandable and enjoyable for everyone and people won't look down at you, like a retard or a foreigner.

Since you’re an int char..

I know it’s gonna be a pain, since you are 4x already. But you really should consider deleveling bow, and taking up another mastery like: Spear or sword/shield. Those weapons are best for a pure int.

I’d love to have a bow to as a int-based person, But the fact still remains that a Bow is a strength based weapon, and therefore not to be used by a int-based char.

Priam.

full int bow is the worst build of the game
low damage
low life

change to spear or sword
and use nukes

bows have almost as much magic damage as a as a sword, but, you have no shield. If you are going to run around like that, then use a spear for God's sake... much more magic damage.

Nukes are ranged weapons that depend on INT, bows are ranged weapons that depend on STR. You are pure int, bows add nothing to what you already have. Bows do low damage, have a low AR, and are really quite useless to those who cannot crit with them. Pure str's will crit a lot. The frequency of crits and crit damage are figured on a character's strength, not intelligence. So, yeah, bow is pretty useless to an int character.

I would have to agree that a pure int bow is quite usless, much better to go with spear... BUT... I dont agree that a hybrid int bow is a pice of crap... actually my build is a int hybrid bow and at lvl 62 I killed plenty of people of my level and i eaven killed 2 64 str bow man users (one of them 5 times because he keept coming back :D ).... And I cant remember now when was the last time a under 64 char killed me....

Which one is exactly my build... thats a secret im keeping till i quit SRO :P ... but i have to say you it requires lots and lots of SP farming to make it work in its fully potential, so if you are just lazzy and want to lvl fast go int with either spear or sword.
