I know I said I wouldn't, but I needed to interject. I can fight and win against a blader my own level, without any support from anyone else. Also, I do not get 1 shotted by Oyukiyo's spear throw, I dunno where that came from. xD Only thing I get one shotted from when pvping Oyukiyo is his nukes, which are strong for a chinese on Venus. xP

Thanks for the compliment. :)

But did I even use a spear throw against you? I really can't remember. Anyway, I actually believe you stand a chance surviving it, after all you're a Warlock. Hmmm, gotta try once I can update my weapon skills, I doubt it will succeed though. What I do know for sure is that Wizzards don't survive a spear throw. I added that skill at 4x for the sole purpose of getting rid of Wizzards in CTF. When I was lucky I could even get them when coming out of invis. :)

So, what are you trying to tell us here? That the strength of your char in Silkroad should not be dependent on gear? That we should rely on our build instead of equipment?

What's a strong Int build, what's a weak one? As a Wizzard you can go full int or.. full int?

The quality of your gear has always been the deciding factor when it comes down to dealing and taking damage.

Yeah these topics always seem to get derailed. Bowers are fine in parties (xbow rogues too) just perhaps not as "perfect and efficient" as other builds. It's good to mix it up a little. Variety is the spice of life as they say.

Meh, *unsubscribes topic*

You are welcome, you are one of the few Chinese that beats me at that level. You are strong in 1v1 pvp, and I would assume that in group pvp you would also be pretty good. However, I do not believe that Chinese belong in a Euro party.

Well I never like it to be based on gear or how your build is in general but based off of skill. But the question here is about Chinese versus Euro and even though you could have a better build with Sun gear than any Euro, you might not without it.(That's not directed at any builds in particular)

People did on new servers lol, prior to 90 cap, also I hit approx 2-4k less then a wizard in LT with my s/s, except you would die if the tank did or lost aggro during the spawns. You are correct about one thing, at 71 I wouldnt do enough dmg to kill him without last tier weps.

Well most of the time on new servers people usually get them stuck. It was that way on Uranus and Hera at least. You can deal the dmg to kill him with a 72 weapon yes, but you have to KS the other people too. Even if the tanks are bad if the Wizard is high and in good gear they won't die with the tank buffs, unless somehow they take almost all the mobs. With tank buffs on I don't die to Yarkan's AoE, if I was a closer level to Yarkan and I had better gear and a weapon, me and other wizards going for yarkan would be hard to KS and could perhaps even go without a tank as long as they don't AoE, and run if they are attacked.

It still puzzles me completely that most of you would choose to drop a person who is;
1) More versatile.
2) Possibly does more dmg.
3) Brings more to the party.
To gain a slight exp increase, the amount has never been confirmed, and some buffs, we already know that a wizard can survive at higher lvls with just pain quota, which leaves a possible slot for another character, so why you wouldnt take a build that can make massive lures I dont really know, all im saying is, if your pt had a sun geared nuker, or had a bower, I wouldn't kick him simpley because there was a wizard or rogue available, the game is about social interaction after all, not alienating an entire group of players due to their class choices, in fact that in itself almost encourages chinese players to bot, since if they arnt going to get into a party (and lets face it, partying is really the only viable way for a legit to EVER reach cap) you may as well just add "No chinese characters" to the confederations rule list.

1.) More versatile is a maybe depending on your definition of versatility. Where Wizards simply Nuke a S/S Nuker can Lure(At high levels), do minor debuffing and tank a mob or 2 for an extended amount of time, in comparison to a wizard. But you are stuck in that one postion. A Wizard/Cleric or Wizard/Bard can switch to an entirely different build if it is needed in the party.

2.) You stated it yourself, possibly more. Another thing is you also don't do enough AoE at a strong enough rate as a Wizard.

3.) No. A Chinese will never bring more to a party than a Euro build that it replaces. You might use those examples I said above, but the things stated are done at a less efficient rate then a build specifically made to do such a thing, 99% of the time. The thing about a Euro party is that they work together to make a whole, a Chinese throws it off. Yes you can still replace a Warlock or a Wizard but you lose advantages you could have with those builds and the secondary of the specific character, and you also lower xp as you said(No matter how small you still lose XP)... Really, a Chinese doesn't do one single task better than a Euro except for luring where Rogues and Bowers are both equally good lurers with the versatility of luring ability for a Bower and the efficiency of luring for a Rogue.

And I believe there is a rule that all chinese characters are supposed to give up there position in a party if there is someone to replace them, for the spot they are replacing of course...

HealingOrbit, I think that's more of a courtesy then a rule. People won't get blacklisted for it. Same as ctf spawncamping.

There is no such rule. It is an unwritten law within Avalon Union which is enforced by Avalon's leaders only.

HealingOrbit, you got your point, facts are straight and still - to quote JK - it's about "social interaction", about having fun with other people in an online game.

Remus, I highly doubt having a Chinese or any non-perfect build in your party will kill all the fun the game has to offer for you. I rather guess that generally being refused from parties kills WAY more of the fun in this game for those that are refused.

But well, surely someone will now come up with the argument of people being able to "chose" in between parties and soloing when chosing heir character's race. Oh yeah, right. Than you SHOULD make it a Confederation rule. As I see it, everyone that plays legit does support the Confederation. If the Confederation in return turns its back completely on a group of people that is willing to support it, that willingness might seize one day. To be honest, I don't see that much of a point in fighting bots anymore. All I am helping with it are a bunch of cocky Euros that will in return force me to leave their parties once another one of them shows up. No matter who that guy is. He might have jsut entered the Confed a month or two ago, might be a secret alt of a well known botter / black listed char, might be rushing for the cap just to sell his char right afterwards.. all this has happened a lot, still you prefer those people into your parties because you feel they supply you with better XP. I've been around for like nine months now, been one of the most zealous bot enemies and one of the most merciless guild leaders - jsut to get replaced from a party as soon as anyone with a more favored build - like for example _SanD_, and I guess you all know his case by now - shows up. What the hell do you expect from me but being utterly disappointed? And with all honesty - I, as a Chinese, am already half-way (more like three fourth) excluded from the community. I could just start botting and be blacklisted - I would not lose a thing. I bet that about 75% of those "legits" that would replace me in a party would have done so months ago if put into the same situation. That's just sad.

Oyu, I have enjoyed killing bots with you and I would never kick you from my party and if the leader did I would leave. I am waaaaaaaay past accepting the bs on this server anymore. I rarely can force myself to log in here even with MuMu_Wiz as my highest level character ever in SRO. I have been now playing over two years and it has never been about the cap and xp but instead the friends I have in the game and hanging out with them in chat, in vent, in party be it china or euro. The attitudes of the "legit" community (those who don't take offense to this are most likely the acception) are downright pitiful and sad from what I came to from Pacific. This was (PAST TENSE) a very nice place to play, a great community of players and great parties, now not so much.

I don’t have a problem with chinese in euro parties. Id actually like to see a group of 8 chinese people working together as well to for a quasi-euro party. Though I must admit, having a chinese in the party is like throwing a checker into a chess game. Or that’s the feeling I get at least. All in all id rather have a fun active party than a shitty tense party. As long as im not dying that’s all I care about.

The problem with the legit community on Venus is that it is overflowing with people. It is basically how SRF is. When I first joined it about 2 years ago it was a nice forum. But people continue to come and it isn't always the people that are really appreciated on forums coming. You get assholes and nice people, stupid and smart people and bots and legits. People coming to Venus lately have been for leveling. Not for the community.

It began with just Avalon and some of their friends. Then people they picked up on Venus. Then legits from Xian and other servers. And now anyone that comes around. You get the good and the bad. Along with that you get the people who come here purely to level and for fun. The people who discriminate and don't. People see it as Chinese weren't made to party, and they're right, but they don't realize they still can which is what makes it a problem.

My suggestion for you is if you really want parties is to find 8 people to make a good dedicated mix party. 5 Chinese, 2 Bards and a Cleric(Although Healing Orbit is probably a neccesity so they don't aggro). Its what I've seen people do on kSRO at least. Otherwise choosing between a Chinese and Euro on Venus will be the difference between no parties and parties.
