Anyone finding the endgame pvp a bit dull? Like random arenas/alliance battle kinda repetitive, I can't really talk cause I ahvent been in any guild wars. Anyone wana post a video that inspired them to play you know? Like a cool pve/pvp video that got them to play the game?

I haven't been on the PvP scene too much, but real organize teams all use vent and always have a good Caller, a caller's job is to call out targets and instructions for example:

spike on target in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

makes killing much easier, random arena to me is for testing self sustaining builds, the monks at RA usually sucks anyways. if you want some real action you should get into a guild or play on HA

playing this now and i must say i am loving it.

newb question here, what is the point of finishing campaigns ? i heard you get weapons once you are done or something but unsure of the facts.

and one more, if you learn x skill on any character with capture signet ( or trainer ) will all your characters learn it and will it remain there even if you delete your character ? wondering this couse is about time i get some sorta decent build going for my hero.

thanks if you do bother to help and i am smacking myself in the head for ignoring this game for so long = /

Upon finishing you receive an item you can exchange for one of the endgame weapons.

The difference between locked/unlocked and known/unknown is that the former applies to the account, and the latter applies to a PvE character on that account. Any PvP character or Hero can access any unlocked (non-PvE specific) skill, subject to profession restrictions.
- More about learning and unlocking skills

Wintersday is coming up. Going to be lots of fun, and lots of Xbox360 neglecting.

Read the article about Wintersday here and stay away from me in GW, for I will tear you to tiny little pieces for calling me Yuki.

No worries lol.

You might want to check out the list of Wintersday Collectors, to save up the stuff they are looking for. They'll trade you one of the Wintersday Items. Also check out the Finale Schedule so you know what times Dwayna and Grenth will appear in the main cities.

I'll be playing alot during Winters Day, so if any questions pop in mind, feel free to ask me, my IGN is Ru Yi. Not Yuki rofl

On a side note, you do have Prophecies, Nightfall or Eye of the North right? Because if you only have Factions it won't work, since Wintersday isn't celebrated there.

Hello people
I've been thinking for a past few weeks if i should buy Guild Wars or not, since i don't have anything interesting to play on my PC. I've heard this MMORPG is nice so i went to my local store to check it out and that's where the confusion began.
I saw a shitload of versions of Guild Wars - Eye of the North, Factions, Nightfall, Prophecies and Complete Collection. I mean, what the shit is this? What's the difference between them all? I assume Complete Collection has all versions in it, but it is too fcking expensive for me to buy.
May i ask what should i do?

Each campaign has its own huge continent, quests, skills, story, monsters, weapons, armors, you name it, they got it.

Eye of the North has it too, but it's an add on, and you need at least one of the other GW Campaigns to play it.

If you got more campaigns, you can link them together, and your characters can travel between continents.

Guess i'll just get a Complete Collection pack. It's expensive, but i hope it will be worth the money

It's still the best MMO I've ever played. If you're unsure you could just go with one of the campaigns first. Either way it's a great game.

Good, since you'll be able to get all the festival hats then, since each Campaign has its own.

Neat, you got the Fire Imp Hero!

Here's my main, Yumiya The Archer.

^ nice RuYi

Anyway, i haven't played GW since only proph was out and i was thinking of starting up again. Just bought factions and nightfall, and considering i feel like its my first time playing again, i thought i would delete all my previous characters and start over from scratch. Thought i would get some opinions before i do it though, so any thoughts on this? :P

Btw, by starting over, i mean recreating the character and just redoing the campaign basicly and the only reason i thought of this was because i have a few lvl 20s of various professions, i was thinking it would be better than having 2 of each prof :banghead: idk any advice is welcome

Keep your favourite in case you're fed up with the new character lol. I still got my very first character, which does a great job as a mule and it's the one with the first and newest Birthday Miniatures. :3

Haha it took quite some time yeah, hugged walls for days to get the final %.
Texmod helped though, but it still took long, maybe it will work for you too, give it a try. It's a mod, but it's allowed by the GW Staff since it doesn't change the game, it just shows the places you have been visited already better so you know which wall to hug to get the title.

I used to think that. But it's actually not too difficult to make money.
You can do runs, farm, sell shit. I still have 2 mules overloaded with junk I want to sell.

It also helps you don't really need alot. Unlike in SRO, where you need new gear/weapons each degree, basically you need max armor and a max weapon, all the rest is a nice bonus.

True, but i tend to spend the money as soon as i get it(unless theres something i know that i want) or never bother to sell the items i get.

Btw, starting a new character and i thought i would make a profession that is pretty good for farming(and i basicly mean there is a large variety of builds for it), any suggestions? :D I was thinking elementalist.

In the past i would never have a huge amount of money but it didn't really stop me from being better then anyone else. The thing i like about GW is that you can have one weapon which costs 5k, and the stats will be just as good as a weapon costing 100k+25e. You only pay for rarity and looks. Same goes for armor.

These days though i can pretty much afford anything thanks to farming/running.

And if you are looking for a class that can get you good money then i would suggest:
Monk> Good Old 55hp and variants
Assasin> A/E
Elementalist> E/A

After testing a lot of builds I found Dervish/mes to be easiest to farm, just get an earth weapon+ ebon dust aura + epidemic + midnight siglet you can technically farm forever because of the blind, and Dervish's scythe can hit 3 target at once, kinda like an AoE, also dervish are less squishy than elementalist, since they have 70 armor and more hp.

edit: also add in some AoE skills like heart of holy flame and zealous renewal then you'll be all set for massive killing in a very short time

but its really subject to personal playing style and all, this is just a suggestion
