Which is best recommended to have a good character??
Select gender: Female
Armor/Protector/Garment = which one would be best recommended?
Weapons? = Am thinking about getting a sword but any recommendations would be pleased.
Pure STR or pure INT? (depend on weapons)

Hello DarkAngel21
if you are going with sword, I suggest you stick with int, not str..
remember... sword = int, and blade = str.. make ur choice!
Armor are heavy in defense also with shield but if ur using protector... i think u will eat mp less like 20%.. im not sure!
I'm gonna go stay with my character!

Ah thanks for telling me.
Of course you will stay with your character until you get bored with it, heh...
Anything else??

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd think the choice of armor, protector, or garment would depend on what type of monster you will be fighting mostly. When you fight monsters that mostly do physical damage, wear armor because it is best at protecting against physical attacks. When fighting magical attacking monsters, wear garments since they protect better against magic attacks. You could also just wear protectors since they are the best of both worlds.
I had thought of buying a full set of armor and garments and switching between them depending on what I'm doing but maybe that's not necessary. I do remember something about receiving bonuses for having a full set of one type on (e.g., pure armor vs. pure garment).

well, this is how it works,
armor - higher physical defense, less mag defense, good for ints to block str attacks, and for str it is major ultra phys defense
protector - this has a pretty level defense mag/phys and gives you 10% run speed and 10% mp reduce over armor good for all builds if you like it.
garment - this is good mag defense, great for str characters for the extra mag defense since they already have decent phys defense from being pure str. and gives you 20% (i believe) run increase and 20% mp cost reduce...
so really it is up to you... i have an int hybrid that uses protec lvl 39 and a full str lvl 23 that uses garment.
and to answer your question about changing armors, i know some people do, but i dont, but if you ahve the money to get a few nice sets of armor/garm then thats cool... but i wouldnt try to get more than one set of clothes until you are a high enough level that you dont hit a new level each 2 hours.

When making a new character it's important to keep in mind what play style you enjoy. Most people (me included) made a lot of test characters until they figured out what they really want. If you want to rain death on your enemies at range, but run when things get hot, make a nuker. If you want to charge your enemies like a maniac and bash their skull in until they die get a glaiver. If you want to be an indistructible one man army and enjoy long duels, get a blader. If you want to be stronger but still have a ranged ability, get an archer. If you want to experience all of these things but not really excel at any of them get a hybrid (int heavy). Its also important to figure out how much time you are going to put into this game. If you are willing to sacrifice a lot of time to become great, a blader is good. If you want to level as fast as possible and make the most of your time get a nuker. If you want the middle ground go for a hybrid or glaiver, for decent pve and pvp capabilities. As far as armor/weapons: pure str uses garment for most of the time, and str based weapons like bow blade and glaive. Pure int nukers use a sword/shield or a spear (sword/shield is reccomended for a bit extra survivablity), as do int hybrids (the 90% ballance ones should keep shield/sword, but the 2:1 hybrids usually want a spear to compenasate for their rather gimped ballances). Armor is a pretty straightforward choice: pure int uses armor, pure str uses garment. Protector is good for hybrids, but it can be used by both the pure builds.

well I'm a blader, so I don't level up that fast. Nowhere near 2 hours per level. I've been sticking to armor/protector so far, but I might get a set of garments to see what it's like.

yeah now that I'm in the 20's, I might level once a day if I play for 8-10 hours straight. Some of it is quests, some leveling my wolf, and some just hunting. I've also started doing a few trade runs recently too. I'm working on a 4 level gap right now to get some SP so I do level a little slower anyway.
