Hey, my problem is the following:
After I turn on my computer, like after 5 mins or less, my video card, without even using it, reaches idle 90 Celsius. If I use it, it easily reaches 120 celsius. I'm afraid to do some tests and see to how much degrees it can get to, because it might burn up or something lulz, I don't know.

I'm using a ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro, and the temperature of everything else is completely normal here. The only thing "wrong" is the video card.

Can anyone help me? Suggestions?

The weird thing is that like 3 days before it's temperature was always rather normal, below 70 celsius while idle. Just suddenly now it started to be always this high.

same thing happened to me on my oldass geforce 6200 after a couple months, it would go over 100+ ºC, i just put a fan on top of it and a fan below it and a fan on the outside to take that shit hot air out. now it's fine :P
fans are rather cheap and still effective. but if you have some money to throw in you might look into liquid cooling.

ps: i never got WHY it started to heat up that much, like you the comp was completely idle

my graphics card fan breaks on me i replaced it 2 times now but anyways reason why it does that is because the stuff between the fan and the cpu tends to degrade after awhile thats why replacing it helps most computers. but ya a fan would help it alot
