so, im going to make an Hybrid Blader as my 2nd Char, 5:1 Str and either wear prot or garm.
I wanted to go for 90 Bicheon, 90 Cold, 70 Fire, 50 Light. It is kinda the best way to go for, cuz the fire buff differences from 70 to 90 arent that great and Phy def from cold at 90 is just awesome.
The thing, that is ideal for a Full Str char, since the imbue doesnt matter that hard they can use cold imbue without doubts, but im Hybrid. I dont know if i will suck with Cold imbue, cuz the imbue is what makes hybrid attacks strong.
I wanna know if i should stick with that, or if i schould go for 90 Fire and 70 Cold instead :|
thanks in advance ~silent~

Well, Magic damage buff on Light would be pretty important to make your imbue and basically any of your attacks hit harder. So I dunno if 50 is too low. Ive nver done a str hybrid before though, so coulnt say much past that. Im sure this topic will be an arguement of hybrid vs pure soon in enough though

I have almost the same build. I went 5:1 until level 47, then I started going pure strength. I had fire imbue with light. I plan on farming up ice later. The damage is ok, the tanking is ok.
If you want to be a successful hybrid your build wont work as a straight 5:1. That will eventually bring your magical balance too high, what you want to try and do one you get to the point where you are pvping is keep a 90% naked physical balance.
Definitely go garments for this character.

So, i shall keep 90% phys naked and then im fine with cold imbue?
since i will have to get more str then ill definitaly go for garm, it was my favourite anyways.

50 Light is enough for ANY build on ECSRO, im currently deskilling light from 60 to 50 on my hybrid spear cuz its still enough. And posts about pure str is better get ignored by me, i dont like pures that much.

I say go for the fire imbue. You're a blader not a glaiver, you're still not dealing that much damage. You can use the (frost nova [not sure]) skill to freeze if thats what you want.

Thats not what i want (in the first place), its cuz i want 90 Cold, and cold imbue from 90 cold is stronger than the fire imbue from lvl 70. Getting fire imbue means i have to sacrifie either a lot of def or a lot of speed and mag dmg.
But i could do it that way u told me and take cold imbue, if i notice im too weak at 90 ima get cursed hearts and take up fire.
Still a hard decision.

I really wouldn't be worried about defense at all if I were you.

But im Hybrid, meaning i have less STR than a full STR one, which equals less def, so i would compensate that with the massive phys def from cold 90, so in the end i may even have more def than a full STR.
I think ma still take 90 col,d but thanks for ur advice about the str:int relation

only hybrid glaviers need to worry about defense i can tank a billion times better with my shield out then i can with out it. the only defense buff i have is the fire one. 90% is what im at and imbune adds a lot to your attack power. from my experience with both blade and glavie hybrid (dual wep ftw) glavie can not tank without the huge amount of hp behind it but blade can with or without defense buffs. i would say you can ditch the ice being maxed and get fire say something like 90 blade fire 60 light ice gives you nice of both light and ice and maxes blade and fire for max damage.
