We are proud to announce Chapter II of Runes of Magic – The Elven Prophecy. During the currently running Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles Frogster already showed parts of the new content, like the new region “Weeping Coast”.
As the name already suggests, one of the main elements of “Chapter II – The Elven Prophecy” will be the introduction of the Elves as a playable race, coming along with a huge new background story, new regions and many new quests.
According to the legends, demons of human origin – having degenerated into underworld beings under the influence of the runes – forged an alliance with the nagas in ancient times. Together, these evil forces brought war and devastation to the world of Taborea. An alliance of elves and humans succeeded in banishing the demons into the void and drive back the nagas behind a magical wall. However, when elven prince 'Sig’aylas' removed the holy sword 'Arclight' from the wall to defend his human truelove, the wall perished and the naga threat flared up once again.
That is not all, as there will be also two new character classes coming along with Chapter II. These two classes will add in as a perfect addition to the already huge possibilities of the dual class system.
If you are not interested in testing out a new class or race, you don’t have to worry. New challenges await all experienced players in form of challenging dungeons, raid instances as well as new PvP modes. Due to all that new content, the level cap will be raised to level 55 for all characters with “Chapter II – The Elven Prophecy”.
Another new feature will be the pet system for the World of Taborea. Thanks to that feature, you’ll be able to actively train your virtual companions, so that they can help you in future battles.
Who now thinks, that this would be all, is completely wrong, as the ambience of the game will also be enhanced. The new regions in special, but also the old territories will benefit from an improved graphics engine. Sound and Music will also receive improvements by the renowned sound-studio of Dynamedion, to further extend the game experience.
Already in August, we will deliver the first contents of „The Elven Prophecy“, like the new region of Weeping Coast and raise the level cap to level 52 with this addition to the game.
Just as the base version of Runes of Magic and all subsequent updates, we will deliver Chapter II – The Elven Prophecy“ as a free download.
Release of Chapter II is planned for September in 2009!
Beside new Screenshots you will find a brand new trailer for Chapter II – The Elven Prophecy on our website.
He did, and he uninstalled it after about... umm I would say 15 - 30 minutes lol.
BTW; how did they nerf scouts by decreasing the range of their attacks ?? Seems fair to me. No decrease in damage, just no longer super long shots. They need to hit the Mage with a nerf bat though.

you can't compare this games graphics to wow's graphics. they're such different styles, it makes it extremely hard. a better comparison would be guild wars.

they've farked the dmg up a while ago now they went for our range like wtf are scouts suppose to do?
I am liking this game alot.... I just love running around collecting resouces its alot of fun... the movement system isnt all that good but the quests and other things make up for it.

The movement system is a little quirky. Tal has some nice fixes for it to make the clicking the same as SRO was, where when you click on the ground you don't lose your target. I personally use "W,A,S,D" and clicking to target; however I know that several people use clicking for everything. I'll let Tal explain more about how to set it up, as I have no clue.
@Draquish, very nice, what server you gonna be on?

Name any 3 month old game that doesn't have bugs. At least they are addressing the bug issues and adding new content as well.
As far as the mouse movement is concerned, uncheck "left click to unlock target" in the user interface. I set mine to right click to unlock like SRO. Other annoyances were the camera angle going in right on top of me if I got to close to something. There is a addon for this called "Autozoomout" on curse.com.
If you guys are on Artemis give me or Goob a shout to get you in the guild, it's level 4 atm but we are working towards 7 for a castle and other perks they added in recently.
when you say the graphics arent as good as sro, what makes them not so? characters or the textures on everything? i saw some footage and it looked better imo

honestly the graphic look nothing to silkroads. It's basically a waterdown version of WoW thats free. everything is basically the same from summoning mounts to enchanting (I'm not refering to the concept but the way they enchant). If you don't have the money play this if you do might as well play WoW.

i gotta rogue lvl 17 on a pvp server. i think its snatch or something similar, ill look when i get home. this games pretty kewl. though its giving me a new found respect for wow, and it makes me consider renewing my subscription...
Go for it ! wow aint perfect , but than again , the rest is even less perfect
Sro has a much better pvp system than RoM has , and lets not talk about class ballance
i removed rom from my pc , if i realy have to pay to play ( yes you NEED to pay to play in rom , its realy not free if you wanna have any chance ) than i'd rather pay for wow , its cheaper and a far supirior game than Runes of Wow-Spoof is
