I'd like to ask some questions about a Pure INT bower.

1] What are the advantages of a Pure INT bower over a Pure STR bower?

2] What are the disadvantages of a Pure INT bower over a Pure STR bower?

3] Would Heuksal/Ice/Light work for a Pure INT bower?

4] Do Pure INT bowers use nukes?

1] Much more overall damage than a pure STR, crit damage would be aproximately equal. It has been proven that with the same gear / masteries, a pure STR bow crits just as hard as a pure INT bow. I'm not talking about comparing the critical hit to the normal hit (in which case the STR bow would obviously crit harder), but taking the absolute values of the hits. Also, a pure INT bower does not rely on crits to kill (as opposed to a pure STR).

2] The pure INT bower has less survivability, and very low defense (he doesn't have the shield of a pure INT S&S or the HP increase the Heuksal build has). However, as any bower, the pure INT bow has Knockback, which can save him in difficult situations.

3] The build you are looking for with a pure INT bow is Pacheon / Light / Ice. You should be thinking about 105 pach / 105 light / 100 ice / 20 fire (adding up to a total of 330. KSRO has increased the mastery limit, look it up in GD if you don't know). At this cap, 100 pach / 100 light / 100 cold is good.

4] You will, of course, use nukes too, apart from bow skills. Farm your nukes, they are useful. Also, being pure INT, you can switch to a spear or a S&S just for the purpose of nuking, under a specific situation (like group PvP, for example, where massive nuking with the light nukes and maybe ice nukes too, is called for, rather then killing individuals with bow skills).

Hope this answers your questions.

Thanks, would it be reasonable to go with a hybird build? 1:5, 1:7. Also, in PvE: how would I level? (Which skills, etc.). Also which armour would I wear?

You can always go slightly hybrid for a little extra HP. In PvE, you would probably want to use nukes and berserker arrow, because they have AoE. AndI guess you should wear protector.

ok im gonna say the magic words for all chinese builds

more int=more dmg

this is the main advantage that ever1 mostly aims for the second being more mp(snow shield) and sometimes the minor increase in mag defence

3&4> yes it would work and nukes are upto you tho i think that at cap with kb/kb/phantom u wont need nukes since ur range+bow skills(which i hear are almost as powerful as the nukes) will make up for any dmg lost from nu nuking

+1

I went from spear > s/s (got bored of the build) > bow (hyb int) ...and can say I didn't mind not having to lvl the nukes, since both Devil Arrow and Strongbow did damage compared to my nukes, like a 1k difference, at most (was FF to 87 in imbue, piercing, 'n nukes) and did more when they crit (with the bonus of an interruption (stun) and range).

PvP wasn't that much different ('cept the skill charge times) than on my Pure Str bow I had at 80 cap, pre-euro ...it's just Snow Shield dependent ...you just gotta incorporate phantom + your range and use the kb at the right times (not spamming it)...frostwall does come in handy at times.

If there's a lot of ints on your server, might go garms ...though protectors don't hurt that much either, that way you're good either way the toll of builds go.

I used to be a pure INT bower before i started playing cSRO and ive gotta say it really wasnt that bad. I started from lv 1 and went to 52. I started using armour at around level 29(4D) so i could do some nice grinding at ongs. Since i hate killing mobs 1 by 1 in PvE even if their party mobs i had nukes to use, i pulled with mind bow, the arrow combos and some nukes. Then once at closer range i just nuked and used berserker arrow. I didnt get enough HP to do some serious pvp until level 50+ but at low level i always could kill STR bowers easily, something that got harder threw the levels, and i could easly kill other pure INTs.
