They doing quite well because they had opponents where they can play football like they want to play football. No offence but they only won 1 game and that was against Algeria (#30), even Turkey is in front of them and they are not even on the World Cup, but thats another story.
The other 2 games against UK and Slovania where OK but its a mentality question... and yes you can get far with this but you have to show some real football skills.

as you cna clearly see. ranking dnt mean anything. by saying they passed the group at the top by a fluke is bs. you dnt win a group by chance. you can in a game by chance. its time you give usa some credit. just because you hate usa is no reason to bash em

Some people here really don't know a thing about football or soccer as you call it, the big teams are still big, but the smaller ones are growing up, they were some years before weaker physically now they're equally strong or stronger than those 'big teams' and now smaller countries give more importance to sports and began to develop and they have improved and now are as good or better than many of those big teams, now for those of you who say the USA as a great team and they are great, im not saying they aren't here, but still they lack technique and they were playing against a lesser team but pretty much equal to them, so the game was divided and entertained us alot, but if maybe they play against argentina, portugal, brasil, Germany, Spain, Holland w/e, they'll be closed in their corner waiting for the others to score, but still i don't want to take any merit from them, and I wish they give a nice performance. and btw GO PORTUGAL!!

I don't watch Fox at all, except when they have movies on... Everyone should know that it's trash. Nice try though idiot. Have you forgotten the game winning goal that was taken back in the Slovenia game? The one that got a referee benched for the rest of the World Cup? Same thing pretty much happened in the Algeria game, but USA won anyways. Then the tie against the World Cup favorites England.

See last bits of my post towards xzaz.

Remember, there's fanboys, then there's their opposite, people that hate a certain thing no matter what is said anywhere, xzaz is for sure the latter when it comes to USA which makes him a total douchebag either way. Changgo is starting to look like one too.

@MrJoey,
Arent you doing the ''fanboy'' thing right now, since you're 'attacking' everyone who says a negative/diminishing thing about the American team. I cant blame you though, since you are American yourself. But I have to admit, the USA is doing pretty well right now. But I cant say they are favourites for the World Cup though.

Also, The Netherlands - Slovakia 1/8 finals if Holland beats Cameroon tonight. :dope:

I never said America is favorites though. It just annoys me when people dismiss everything that they've done as if they aren't a real team and have gotten through on a fluke.

if everything were to be decided by video during the game, italy wouldn't have even qualified.
they should open a swimming team with all the diving going on.

they do use them after the game for example, they can suspend players for delinquencies like Jan Mucha did.

haters gonna hate
