Hello, I know SRF is not a medical forum, but I need some generic info on this one probelm that has occured this morning
I found out that I have a small, painless bump in my mouth, on my upper right side of it. I had no idea why it appeared, but so far it hasnt bothered me. I didnt notice it afterwards untill recently, and I dont know what to do. It doesnt prevent me from doing anything like eating.
So I googled, and came across this link
http://www.simplestepsdental.com/SS/iht ... /pr.3.htmland the desciprtion is similar I guess to this thing on my gum; then i found this part
Quote:
The most common cyst found in the mouth is the apical periodontal cyst. It develops as a result of an infection in the tooth pulp, or nerve. This infection typically is caused by decay.
I have to get a root canal for one of my teeth, which is near this bump. I got most of it cleaned out awhile ago, and had a temporary filling filled in but I think it fell out. ( I havnt gone to get it yet because of insurnce stuff )
So if anyone has ever had this experince, please tell me what you did in order to get it away, or to anyone who has generic info on this before I go get it checked out by a doctor, thanks.
