He is remarried now and my step mom is pretty chill about it, even watches him sometimes. Only time she gets frustrated is when me and my dad play nazi zombies and she calls us down for dinner and we uh... keep playing for a little bit until we die lol. You lucky son of a bitch, I am trying to get my father to meet me in a 1v1 in CS:S and he is like, no I know I win anyways.

The whole idea that gaming is a solitary hobby should be shot out the window. Sure, there's times when you can't get enough people for a multi-player game happening. But you should try and (not forcefully) encourage your wife to play games that you both enjoy. You can play them individually or together, much like cpinney has summed up with his dad. Games are a form of entertainment, something to do when there's nothing left to do. Most marriages have people watching TV together or just chewing the fat together, gaming it just an extension of it. Your married to each other, but not each others time schedules. Also, congrats on the marriage!

Thanks for all the constructive replies. This is what I love about SRF. Keep them coming guys.
I'm now officially married, officially a husband. I'm 30 already. It's kinda late actually. The average age for guys to get married in my country is around 25 or 26. Lucky my wife is 22. U know what they say, guys grows up late. LOL..
Btw, she knows i play games a lot. Hope she'll continue to understand my gaming needs after this. Maybe just 1 or 2 hours a day should be fine. I do think it will decrease later on especially when we're ready to have babies. Lot's of babies! Hahaha...

Well with work/children(thats if you have any later on)/ and spending time with your wife..It might get difficult to play games as much as you'd want to. But that being said I think you will still have more than enough time to still play games and everything. Family always comes first though.
EDIT: Ohh Yea Congrats on the marriage as well..hope everything turns out for the best.

Late to this topic, but I'd like to point out that it actually varies on how much you game. My bro in-law makes over $50k-$60k a year and is very busy, yet he still finds the time to game and live a good life spending time with family etc.

i only play games sometimes now and even i do play it... i only play it for less than 1 hour if its multiplayer, but if single then i'll try to beat it for the storyline.

I don't ever plan on gaming when I'm married. Better ways to spend ones time.

I'd quit gaming/surfing Internet if I have a full time job, which means obviously I'd do the same when I get married.
and congratulations =)
