Hey guys, so here I am again waiting for answers...:P
So I just got my laptop, here are the specs:
Proc: Amd Athlon II P320 Dual-Core 2,1GHz
4GB RAM
64 bit os
Ati Mobility Radeon HD 4250
OS: Win7 Home premium but it doesn't rly matter anywayz

Well, so far I've tried 2 games on it: Grid and Amnesia. Both of them run on low fps which is fckin annoying, u know.

I think my laptop is good enough to play these 2 games (btw sro is running smooth but its not a big surprise:D) so I don't know what the problem is...Already Installed DirectX, updated ati driver but still the same.

I can't imagine that my laptop simply can't run these games...
Any suggestions?

well your processor is below grid's recommended requirements...
I dont think your video card is doing much better either...
as for amnesia your good enough.
Now you can only blame yourself for getting a laptop rather than a desktop.

I don't think you can do much about it except buying better parts. tried turning down the settings -.-?

Well I have a desktop, and its good. I bought a laptop for school, study etc... but as i am not coming home every weekend I'd like to play on it as well(and not only mario lol).
Anywayz, thx for the tips, I would like to upgrade it but well, u know, its not as easy as upgrading a desktop.

it wont run, mainly becux of the processor and graphx chip. IF you can, return and spend some extra for a i3 proc (make sure the 13 is 350m model) and at least a nvidia 310m, 4gb ram obviously

That gpu will be a huge bottleneck, you could get away with the cpu maybe but the gpu is extremely old, and its a mobile version, I don't think you would get further then some basic games.

In theory it should play. I have only played the DS version of grid (lol) so I have no experience with those games.

My theory why it won't play well is because laptop hard drives run at 5400 RPM not 7200

Nerdy explanation
Spoiler!

personally I see no difference in HDD speeds, though if you do have a 5400 rpm hdd, trying lowering texture quality

This. Laptops need extra power to handle most games if you do try to game on them.
