Another "contribution" of Gaige by posting an oversized pic with way too many words.

Do you REALLY think that people ACTUALLY read all those words?

I read the whole thing.

Macs have more programs than PC's?

I don't own a mac pro and neither would I buy one.

I don't see any useful application for it other than professional.

I own a macbook pro and it cost me $1414. It cost marginally more than laptops I had previously bought (two HPs) but I don't regret it at all.

I don't think i've stressed it enough but i'm on a PC 8 hours a day at work and I have a PC at home. I understand why some people wouldn't want to buy a mac, and why it wouldn't be useful to them; it's ultimately the consumer's decision.

You earn your money, you spend it on what you want.

With that said I don't even use my macbook pro anymore.

Spoiler!

And it's a good thing you mentioned my name in the title.

I own a ThinkPad T510 now, the next laptop I'm buying will definitely be a Macbook pro. ThinkPad's are pretty much the best windows laptops you can get, IMO. I strongly advise anyone who is looking for very powerful, portable and, reliable windows laptops to buy a ThinkPad.

If you don't need the harddrive space, you should get a macbook air. They just released a new model. It's about $500 cheaper, has an SSD, and is ultra portal.

The only problem is the harddrive size. It's good if you use less than 64gb, don't mind using external, or have network storage.

I added a 1 TB hd to my macbook pro and it's something I need, otherwise i'd return my iPad and get the macbook air.

They are so thing they seem fragile though.. The thing about regular laptops is that most of them are tough, and if you drop them 5-7 feet they are still fine. Nothing breaks, screen doesn't crack.
The macbook just seems like it has no fluff zone to cushion a fall

Macbooks are machined out of 1 solid piece of aluminum. Although I wouldn't recommend it, I dropped mine from table height and it was ok.

OMG 2 USB PORTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY SHIT! UNBELIEVABLE! NO WAY!! GODLY

/sarcasm

Again I bought a laptop roughly around $900-1000 and they smoke this, metal finish and all

The only apple tries to do anymore since they can't be Windows running laptops is to make it smaller and thinner :palm: Netbooks and cheap Windows Laptops have 11" screens and usually don't run for more than $800, just seems like a scam :nowant:
