I analyze pressure relief/flare systems for oil/chemical companies. I miss my carefree student life. Don't be in such a rush to get out of school hehe.

I understand. It's pretty much the same here. Java, C# and C++ are languages I usually try to avoid. I don't really like high-level languages, and I almost despise C#, for that matter.

Of course, one could argue that high-level languages have specific purposes of their own, but, whenever I can, I try to avoid them, and use low-level languages instead, languages that provide memory-level access. To me, memory-level access is essential. 9 times out of 10, when the project allows it, I choose C as my programming language. Clean, simple, to-the-point programming is what I strive for. Quite often, I make console programs; most of the programs I create don't really need a GUI, if the employer doesn't really require one.

I go to school 5 days a week too, mostly from 9 to 5.

I also have my waiter job and I'm doing 9 to 5 internship at the same time (not at the same time as school but still).

Lazy ass americans.

I'm taking a class right now that focuses on binary logic, machine language, and assembly language. I really enjoy it. It's cool to see and have control over EVERYTHING. Writing code in machine language however, a bit tedious...

Well, since you revived the thread, I might as well update.

Currently working as a nurse.
Satisfied? Financially, yes.

As far as going for another degree, it will have to wait. It's mentally and physically exhausting most of the time.

You proposed to finish nursing college and go back for another major! Congrats. You must be one of those brainy ones. In addition, you propose to take up free service amateur wedding Photography. Why don't you try your hand at Wedding Cinematography also? It will stand you in good stead in the years to come.

I work for the Air Force at a place called Outdoor Recreation. We rent out seasonal and recreational equipment(skiis, snowboards, surfboards, bounce houses, camping equipment, etc.) to military members, their families, and other civilian employees.

We also manage 23 different facilities on the base as well as plan and lead trips to various places. We handle stuff like RV storage, a resale lot, the stables, the different parks on base, and the pools.

The Outdoor Recreation I work at was named ODR of the year for all of AFMC(Air Force Materiel Command)for 2011, which is a huge honor. Something like 18 different bases throughout the US and overseas competed. We're now in competition for ODR of the year for all of the Air Force.
