Spoiler!
From Futurama, Fry gets trapped in a cryostasis pod for 1000 years. 1000 years later, Fry finds his fossilized dog. He decides to not un-fossilize the dog since Fry thinks that his dog already had lived a full and happy life while he was gone. The ending shows that this is the opposite. Fry's dog had been waiting for him ever since he went missing.
I'm a grown man, but dam, this is the only tv show episode that has brought me super super close to tears. Like I can feel my eyes burn. Which to me, is pretty crazy... Haven't cried in over a decade now...

there was a fresh prince episode, when his dad comes back. That to me was the saddest moment on tv for me. This is pretty sad too
I remember that episode vaguely. Image of some statue comes to mind.
Good to see I'm not alone. Always get a weird feeling when I see this episode. Like part of me knows its a good episode, but the other part is like don't watch it, you'll just end up depressed...

Hayao Miyazaki has a literal tap that he can turn on to make me cry uncontrollably for hours on end. Oh god, I could name off countless films of his that have turned me all sooky and have made me weep in the wee hours of the morning. He's brilliant, it's just as simple as that. Such emotions can be conveyed in such an uninvolved medium, it's mind blowing.

You guys cried, or wanted to cry, at a cartoon, that doesn't exist, and is pure fiction set in the future... moving on
Okay, screw that. Seriously... let's face it, this sort of thing has happened in real life and dogs will wait for their masters/friend .. No matter what.
