See I don't understand. That doesn't look incredible or anything to me.

Well it's not a video game, doesn't need flashy animations and triple back flips to make it awesome. Backhands goals aren't the easiest thing to do.

He shoots it on his backhand, essentially backwards, from the other side of the ice over the goalie's shoulder into a hole about the size of your palm; while being chased down by defensemen.

Because you obviously do not know how much skill that requires to shoot backhand accurately, and the goalie trying to cut down the angle so the player sees less net.
