Saw this on another forum and figured I'd share it, it's probably old but until I saw it I never knew I was doing it wrong. So, are you doing it correctly?
(Watch the full video, it's only 3 minutes long and entertaining plus you might learn something.)
If I'm right I make the 'weak' one, it works great so what ever lol xD
Yeah, casually I've never noticed but I remember one tennis tourney where my laces kept getting untied over and over and over again and annoyed the shit out of me until I triple tied it, now I finally know why and have some closure (obviously I lost that game). Just a fun vid I thought I'd share for when you get round laces instead of flat ones.
I don't even know if I do the weak or the strong one. I think it's random. I have sometimes been wondering though, why the tie sometimes lay differently. This video pretty much explained that

There is no right and wrong in shoe tying. Seriously, people these Farking days making problems out of everything. Shit, this stuff gets me going. Who gives a flying **** how I tie my shoes. Never had no problems with my shoes. I don't even know if I do it right or wrong now. I don't give a shit either. I like to live life on the edge, keep shit interesting, **** tying shoes the right way.

I tie mine the same way most ice skaters tie theirs. Around the back and just enough to have decent double knot in front. Interesting though...I'll try going once around the shoe then doing one correct knot. If it gets untied, I'll give this guy a call and complain...
before doing the knot... the part when you just tuck one infront of the other then loop it back underneith the other string... if you go under #TWICE instead of once... that part doesnt undo itself... try it
