Say you got to build your own heaven and could make it exactly like you imagine it to be/want it to be, how would you make it?
Personally I'd start off with the classic 'heaven clouds'. At some point I guess we all thought of the clouds as some nice, soft and cushiony place, that's gonna be the structure for where I do my eternal chillings Then I want some kind of answer room, where I get an answer to everything I once pondered about. Like how the universe came about and that kind of stuff. I'd actually understand all of the Stephen Hawking-like theories as well. I wanna create my own landscapes, go time traveling through the world as I know it, explore the entire universe, lead an immortal life in a scenario type of earth (I got nothing but time anyways) and lose the concept of time. I would still like to work for certain things though. Like practice on climbing and all other sports, I don't want to be instant awesome. A sense of accomplishment is always nice, no matter how fake it is. That's what I've dreamed up so far . Man, can't wait to die
If you don't think there is a heaven or can't be bothered dreaming up a fantasy one then just don't participate. I'm not religious myself either, but it's fun to let your imaginations run wild once in a while

Hm, I do believe that not all of us will join the heaven, mainly cause all the "shit" we do with/out intentios. I believe that there in heaven, we'll start a training, on helping those on earth, which are born, or are next in the generations line, watch over them. If there time is limitless, at least I would sign up for that, beside all the free virgins, and endless things I could do.

heroo, you're religious right? what's your idea of heaven? Is it wrong to imagine it or dream of it? Idk if it's an immoral question.
I really don't know what to expect of heaven. I always imagine heaven as a place that fits you perfect. Everything is exactly the way you want it to be. But if everyone that goes to heaven gets a universe where everything is exactly the way they want it to be, then we would have multiple heavens. Each heaven for each person. And if that's not the case and heaven is just one place where all the ''good'' dead people come together and everyone has to adapt to each other, then heaven is not so different from our current world. It's just without all the bad stuff like suffering and criminality and such. But maybe I'm wrong and there's no heaven at all. I wouldn't mind that though, cause then there would be no hell either, so that's a relief. I did have a scientific education after all. My minds tells me something different then my feeling lol

It's hilarious how you sit here on this forum every day waving the islamic flag at everyone who barks in your direction and that of religion in general, yet you live in Holland as a modern western muslim who('s parents) probably migrated here, and live by less than a 10th of the ideals of the koran. It's also rather disgusting and insulting how you think you're this examplary muslim who has to correct others when they speak their mind, yet you have no clue what you're really saying.
It's probably a waste of my time since you're.. you, but at least this time I can go to bed knowing that I actually educated you a little about how big of a hypocrit you are as a muslim on homosexuality, and for me personally, that will justify you insulting me, my mother, and many others. It will also solidify my personal beliefs even more which is a big plus.
Your religion believes homosexual people are not equal to heterosexual people. Anal sex (not just for homosexuals) is an actual crime in many islamic parts of the world. Homosexuality is - to this day or not long ago at all - given the deathpenalty in some islamic based countries (Iran, Jemen, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates to name a few that I know of). In Bangladesh and the Maldives, muslims are given life in jail as punishment for being homosexual/supportive of homosexuality. In the islamic population, young men are sometimes introduced to other young men, in order to "prepare for the real thing" (That's actually hilarious considering) and some islamic men are disowned and abandoned by their family and ignored if they refuse to marry a woman (even sometimes appointed to them). Families even killed their own male family members as a kill of honor for being homosexual or supportive thereof before the 1950's. This still happens in small circles today and has actually had alot media attention lately (as have many other of these beliefs/rituals) in turkey etc.
The islam has always been against homosexuality and that is slowly disappearing. Now I'll tell you exactly where my opinion forms itself.
Turkish islamic countries have LEGALIZED homosexuality in the 19th century. It's that long ago. In several states and cities in turkish countries, gaybars have been around for a very long time. In 2006, a gaybar was opened in Alanya (Turkey) actually by the mayor himself, I was there on vacation just a few months later and heard about it myself. Homosexual activists (people who fight for legalization of gay marriage and homosexuality in general, and islamic acceptance therein) can legally do their thing in most islamic countries these days, and these people have gotten alot of media attention in the history of the 21st century, and these communities are only growing.
The more extreme of these rituals/beliefs are slowly becoming history in the general islamic community (death penalty, punishment, family killings etc etc etc). Only the more mild beliefs are still seen today in the islamic population. Nowadays muslims are only scared of being gay because they're afraid of being rejected by the islamic community. A few decades ago, they would pay with their life if they even spoke of it.
I'm a proud atheist, but I will always respect people's opinions regarding that, or religion in general, and I do expect the same from others.
My point is, before you look at others, you should really look at yourself because your religion and that of others has changed a LOT in the direction of disappearance.
It is of my opinion that it will completely disappear real soon. It is also of my opinion that it should go real soon, but that is a whole different story all together.

If heaven is like the sunny white sandy beaches and green forest or open fields full of flowers and clean flowing water then I'd be disappointed. We already got that here. People are never satisfied...you give them paradise and they still think there is something better.

I've read your whole post, quite long indeed. Allthough 90% of it is about the history of the gay emancipation and about how the Islam is changing. I still don't approve homosexuality, allthough most homo's don't bother that much. Doron, however, is of one of those homo's that's stuffing his sexuality in your throat. I make some remarks about that, you shouldn't take them too seriously though cause I do exaggerate alot. It's something I should pay more attention to. I'm not aggressive, just rejective.
And the remark about your mother was to show you how inaccurate your comment was. You assumed that religion would disappear just because it's old and that's stupid. But I suppose you know religion has been here for thousands of years and I don't see the coming centuries bring a change in that. I only replaced religion with your mom, maybe childish but I did it to make a point. You feel insulted, which I really don't give a sh!t about, but I want you to know what I meant. And technically speaking I didn't even insult your mom.
And the fact that many muslims are changing doesn't mean my religion is changing and that I should too. It just means that more muslims are leaving their religion. That's oke, but it's not something I want to be part of. And how can you speak about my parents when you don't even know me lol? You don't know how religious my parents are and how I was raised. You assume too much. I can perfectly combine my religion with my modern life here in Holland.
And like I said, don't take most what I say too personally. I'm just f*ckin around mostly. Ajjuuss en de groeten thuus!

Time changes everything.....even religion....especially since the concepts of what religion is was formed by man...People views change with time...You can go to your grave as a die hard but don't hold your breath when it comes to your children to carry on your beliefs and their children.
I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow from out of the shadows comes an Islamic gay movement speaking out about being accepted. I have friends from saudi arabia who witnessed saudi arabian men (supposed muslims) soliciting gay sex from foreigners

Kind of this except I consider myself agnostic.
For the sake of the thread though, I'll contribute:
I imagine the scenery will change for wherever I want to be/whatever I want to do. I'd be ok with life as it is now with a bunch of close friends/family just hanging out.
There will be lots of herb around and music will be playing 24/7 and the song would change just by thinking of what I want to hear.

I actually agree with this. Nothing is more annoying than someone shoving their sexuality down people's throats. I've gotten into so many real life arguments with gay friends who do just that. It's a huge annoyance to me.
