Aircraft controls should be as difficult as possible (within reason) imo. Dont want all the nubs queueing up for them and then managing to dominate the game with them.

oh.. and i think i wet myself.
They look within reason to me based on the trailer, but we'll see when it's released. I wonder if they will have AA weapons capable of taking them out with relative ease. A SAM Launcher capable of keeping up with it would be nice, but being able to out maneuver them should still be possible. Flares on the jets lmao. OMG I can't wait for this to come out.
"There's a fairly steep learning curve to the way you maneuver these jets. Taking off is a simple matter of hitting the W key and pulling back on the mouse, but once you get up into the sky, you've got to exercise some real patience for getting the hang of things."
"More than a few players in our match clearly grew impatient with the jet and just started going full-on kamikaze in a self-inflicted blaze of glory"
"We wound up preferring the tank, because like in the Bad Company series, destruction plays a massive strategic role in Battlefield 3. Being able to blow open the wall of an enemy-held building is critical to capturing crates, and the tank cannon certainly does a good job of that. "
"Inside was a ladder that took us a solid 30 to 45 seconds to scale, but at the top was a dream of a sniper perch that let us see almost the entire map. "
"Trying to pick off enemies was a genuine challenge given the generous levels of weapon sway DICE has added to the sniper rifles and the fact that your scope now appears to glint and shimmer in the sunlight as a heads-up for enemy players."
"Predictable as it was, there's no denying how satisfying it was to coordinate who would take each enemy, and then counting to three before the two of us pulled the triggers on our silenced pistols. "
"Another thing we'd like to see more of is the use of vehicles in co-op; DICE promised you'll be hitting the road in ground vehicles as well as piloting jets. "

Somewhere I read that Engineers will be able to choose either the normal AT-RPG, or an AA-RPG in their load-out. So it should be fine. But it shouldn't be a problem for me to dodge those missles either without flares, since I'm sure I can still bust some dodging moves I learned in BF2 flying the jets.

I hope they don't make the jets and helicopters Underpowered like they were on BC2: Vietnam, I killed one with a pistol once... And every other time just spray my rpk at it and it would be dead in no time...

It's a Combat Simulator Game. An RPK would indeed be able to take a chopper down I think if you hit it in the right spot.

Oh trust me, you wont be able to shoot down jets with machineguns. And whenever you see a jet coming at you, you will be running for your life, instead of staying stationary and shooting at it.

A-10 incoming? Just press ''Suicide''.
well from the looks of the gameplay, it's not gonna be a total rapefest with jets because they still have to aim and hit you.
Oh, thats not a problem. With the vulcan cannon F35´s had in BF2, it only took 2 hits to kill a full health soldier, 1 for a crippled soldier. And those things shoot fast. But the A10 has a god damn chain gun which shoots even faster. So say goodbye to your life when you see an A10 coming at you.

Unless it has splash damage you still have to aim at them while flying over. Now I doubt they will go as fast as they really go irl but you still won't have much time to aim I guess.
If it's really that easy then I'll say nono to the mp right now lol

Look XMoshe, I've played alot of BF2. It wont be easy to hit infantry, but for experienced pilots like me, it isn't hard. But, there were other players that even had trouble staying in the air with a jet. So it completely depends on the skill of the pilot.
On another note, there will be maps which will be vehichle heavy like ''Caspian Border'', and there will be maps that will be infantry based, like the ''Strike at Karkand'' map. So if you want to play infantry heavy fights? Go play on maps like ''Strike at Karkand''.

I doubt you will have that option, unless you want to play on the same map everytime =p
And yeah I always farked up the chopper in bc2 xD Always forgot that pulling back the right stick will make it go backwards.
Considering you talk about a ''stick'' I assume you play on console, which is meh. On the console you will have a server browser, you will be able to see which map the server is currently running. On another note, BC2 is a totally different game from BF2, Flying in Battlefield 2 was insane, I'll add a vid of stunts with choppers.
BF2 64 player battle, see what happens when there is a skilled chopper pilot.
And some stunts.
