Some religious people just can't seem to stop contradicting themselves....how can they have signs saying "GOD HATE...blah blah" on it?.... I didn't know god carries around hate like us too.

The Old Testament is pretty much God's Livejournal.
So their signs include "God hates your idols", "Fags are beasts", "You're going to hell" and "Thank god for dead soldiers"?!!! I just... don't even.
Yeah, they think that the soldiers died because they fags, and according to them God hates them, therefore they died.
No, they subscribe to the idea that soldiers are dying because they're defending a nation that tolerates homosexuality, and the IEDs that kill them are God's way of trying to stop them. According to them, 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and other disasters are also the result of the United States' tolerance towards gays. Homosexuality is the root of all problems in their interpretation of the Bible.
The curious thing about this is that, taking away the thanking God for dead soldiers, many influential socially conservative Christian authority figures preach the same message without any or very little repercussions. This is why I find all the contempt for the WBC slightly amusing since their message is not very far off from what is preached in many churches across the US every Sunday .

A great example of how easy it is to misinterpret a good book.
Is there a correct interpretation? Does it have to be socially acceptable to be correct?
