at this point it's the only choice, everyone has to go or it will never end. what's confusing is why the hell does mike mcqueary still have his job when he's the guy who testified to seeing everything? or curley for that matter.

some good matchups this week though. i hope tcu can come out and slap boise in the mouth just to make sure they're not a part of the bcs conversation this year. also think oregon is more than capable of upsetting stanford.

Haha, I think a lot of people wanted Boise to lose. Maybe not so much Stanford. I am glad that BSt. is out though...

Only thing I have to look forward to in A&M football land now is whether they can beat UT and then if they'll get the Alamo or Texas bowl. Such a disappointing season. BRB - Projected to be in running for BCS NC... BRB - Sitting at .500... Only thing that will make me happy is for A&M to win out and win its bowl game and Texas to lose out and lose its bowl. 8-5 vs 6-7. :P

I have my ticket to the lonestar showdown though, 2nd deck, 12th man, 40 yard line. Can not wait. Last game in the 100+ year series, should be epic.

EDIT: Just saw this on another forum where people were discussion BCS title game possibilities and the OU v Tech debacle:

Texas Tech up in your ****, and we ..... everything up!

This weekend is why I love NCAA football. OMG

SEC West, son I am proud.

If arky beats LSU... do we get to see a BAMA v ARKY NC game? Two teams in the NC from the same division who won't even be in the SEC championship? Insane.

In side news: A&M raped KU. :)

I suspect the game on Thursday is going to be beyond epic concerning how loud the 12th man will be. Factoring in the history of this game, A&M leaving the conference, and this being their last meeting for the next 7 years... going to be epic. On the level of the NEB v A&M game last year. Kyle field becomes deafening.

Can't freaking wait to scream my lungs off.

I was cheering as loud as possible the entire game.. then sick the last 3. It was an amazing atmosphere and game despite the outcome. Game could have easily gone either way... no excuses here. I don't like our coach, but... Anyway, such a disappointing season. Excited to see the NC rematch game.

Texas band ended with a really classy act, thanking A&M for the 117 year rivalry and then spelled out thanks aTm.. really cool. The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band did their saw em' off formation. :sohappy:

Image

In other rivalry death news: The Missouri v Kansas 120 year old "Border War" rivalry died today. For the same reasons the TU v A&M rivalry is dying.

^agreed, but i'd be more mad if ok st made it after losing to iowa state of all teams.

i think stanford vs ok st is an awesome matchup, probably will be 10x more entertaining than the national championship. but lsu and alabama deserved it most in my opinion.

Really hope LSU destroys bama so this shit doesn't happen again. Bama shouldn't have gotten the call with that easy schedule.

Farking replay of the borefest they had earlier in the season? Nice way to show that they favor the SEC. BCS system is shit anyways, needs to be overhauled.

who should have then? oklahoma state might've had a slightly more difficult schedule and stanford had a weaker schedule, oregon and arkansas were two loss teams.

alabama:
win vs penn st
win vs arkansas
close loss vs lsu

oklahoma st:
win vs ou
win vs texas? texas a&m? both showed signs of being good and texas especially showed they can be awful as well. not really sure what their #2 win would be. kansas state i guess.
close loss vs iowa st

stanford:
win vs notre dame
controversial win vs usc
loss vs oregon

sec = big 12 > sun belt > fcs > pac 12
i feel for the cowboys but @ them complaining.. they controlled their destiny and lost to iowa state two weeks before the end of the season.
there just isn't a good #2 team this year.

What? Alabama is a very good team, as are the pokies. After looking at Alabama's schedule, all I can say is I guess the loss to Iowa St is what really killed OSU in the voter's eyes. That's an embarrassing loss. Losing to the #1 ranked team, not so much. But it's obvious OSU had the tougher schedule overall... i dunno.

A&M to the Texas bowl to play Northwestern. Embarrassing. I was hoping for Penn St. :(

Side note: WTF, how is Texas still ranked? I swear they have an autoranking despite wins/loses.

skill&talent wise of course. i just meant in a lot of peoples eyes: they don't want to see the bama-lsu rematch, or a team that lost to iowa states backup qb in overtime play for the 'ship.

meyer to ohio state. happy about that for now, we'll see how it goes. losing to michigan = unacceptable.

I'm sure that OSU losing their coaches in a plane crash the day before that Iowa game they lost, makes no difference.

And not to mention that 5/6 Iowa States losses were to ranked teams...or that the game went to Double Overtime and Weeden was intercepted off a tipped ball...no, the only thing people care about is that they lost to Iowa state. It's ridiculous

tragic? yes. affected them in some way? no doubt.
does that mean they should get a free pass on the football field or the bcs formula should be rewritten with team morale a factor?

i think the fact it was alabama that got the nod is what makes people want oklahoma state in the game. which is understandable, a part of me would rather watch them too. it'd probably be more entertaining. maybe not in the second half because their defense wouldn't be able to stop lsu's power running game. but it'd be refreshing until then.

to each their own i suppose. it's just sad to see so many people fall into the "oh my god the bcs is so broken" stuff every single year, even when things work out pretty good and the computers/voters agree.

by the way, iowa state was very mediocre this year.. there was a reason they lost (usually pretty huge) to those ranked teams. they struggled when northern iowa came to town. they weren't god awful, but c'mon man. :slap:

Iowa St. was not very good this year. I don't care how many ranked teams they played. What does losing the women's basketball coach have to do with a football game? If anything I would think it might motivate them to win the football game. Iowa St beat Kansas 13-10... enough said.

Heisman ceremony in 10 minutes. Ball will get screwed over, that "honey badger" guy shouldn't even be in the running, at least Luck wont get it.

Bowl games bump! I'm curious to see how A&M performs (Read: Adjusts after halftime) under an interim coach (Read: Not Sherman).

Any bowls you guys are looking forward to? I think the KSt/Arky game could be interesting.

For your troubles:

OSU-Fla game should be good.

Ridiculous how Clemson wins the ACC and gets a boring opponent while Va Tech gets Michigan

Joseph Villavisencio, senior OL for Texas A&M was killed in a car accident this afternoon on his way home for Christmas break. I went to high school with him and played football with him in HS. Graduated valedictorian, amazing dude... so damn sad... really puts everything into perspective...
