what's up!? got myself making a new track last night, don't give me too much shit, as i explained in my other post... my computer is GARBAGE at the moment, and, being a computer tech, i know that there is nothing i can do to help it besides eventually put it out of it's misery... that being said...
merry christmas to all, and to all a new song that i am working on! hehehe. comments please. thanks.
You've definitely improved, compared to what your music used to be. There's a few things I notice though... 1. You use a cheap sounding drum (the one you can clearly hear in the beginning) 2. There's no 'drop'. every song has a moment where it goes whack... it's just kinda boring without it. 3. you put different melodies with the same beat in one song. It's strange and you have little reason to still consider it to be one track. Try adding to your music without changing the melody.
On the other hand, you've greatly improved in keeping you're song stick to it's beat. I remember long ago you posted some songs where your melody was straying greatly from the lead of the rhythm. I don't notice that error anymore
btw, do you still have that song around that you created when you were just screwing around?
ps. sorry, still haven't made a vid with your other song :[

thank you, yea, i have many other plans, however my computer is so slow, i kinda get tired of doing what i know needs to be done to improve the song, once i get a new machine, and get some sequencers and mixer you will notice an immediately definite sound difference.
which song are you talking about? I don't have much of my old music, a lot of it was lost when i was arrested.

All I remember is that it was a short song (1:30~2:45-ish). I recall telling you it was your best one, even though you were just screwing about with your software. I tihnk it might've been the 2nd or 3rd so you ever posted...
I think I managed to find it once... somewhere, through srf. I'll look into it...
EDIT: Found it. It's on your MySpace. I still really Like that one XD Please try to make a remix of that one. It has a lot of potential. It's this one. messin around for a min (almst literally
Notice how the melody keeps the same formula, just changes effects to keep it fresh. There's some beat inconsistency and it obviously isn't finished yet, but I really think it could turn out great if you attempt to remake it.

ah yes, that one, see, that was when i at least had a decent computer, still had already lost my dj equipment but i will get it back... meanwhile, this is what i am working on RIGHT NOW...
It's better than tirablitions, so far anyway. The intro was a little strange and too long for it's own good. I also notice beat-melody desynchronization, so try to time your bassline fluctuations with the beats properly.
For the intro try using this songs build-up as your inspiration (after 1:23) to make it connect.
That's what I'd recommend anyway
Other than that. Do you think you can try to describe this new style you are aiming for? It'll help me evaluate your pieces better and help you keep your goals in sight.
One final word of advice, You need better naming XD. Don't think too much about the names, it makes it look like you're trying way too hard. Names like 'messin around for a min (almst literally' are a lot better, because they describe the song better.
/sleep now.

lol, literally my song names i don't think at all, i just type random shit from the top of my head, usually make up words. the last thing i am doing is thinking.
as for the sync issues, yea, i know, i need some hardware, you know, knobs, and buttons. hehe.
also the computer is so slow, it aggravates me too much to make anything perfect right now.
the style i would say... i guess... "trance step" or something of that nature, not really sure exactly where i wanna go style wise until i get new hardware and get into a real groove.
i am on a lil netbook right now, however, i will check out that song tomorrow. good night!
Intro is a little better now. I also kind of like the sound you've added at 1:28, but the tune need to go higher instead of lower.
Let's communicate using Keybored http://www.ziddu.com/download/2665773/K ... 0.zip.html It's a little app that turns your keyboard in to a variety of musical instruments. For my example set it to electric bass (pick) and press zzzzxxxxcccccccc (note that shift produces different sounds)

Not a big fan of wubwubstep, but it was alright for my ears. I expected more intense wubwub.
cool, thanks, i was just messin around for a few mins, i seem to have a hard time sticking to one song and finishing it all the way through, but i also need more hardware and a better computer, so yea. lol.
i like it, good job! See what happens when you actually put some time into shit as opposed to me, making a new song every 30 mins, and never mastering anything. ADD ftw. lol.
No doubt about the attention part, you made that obvious. The other part, is fully wrong. It's not about you and your songs, stick to one thread and stick to facebook if you need to be showered with attention.
