Re-Read what he said yourself he considers 30+ clients the problem not the botting itself aka botting on 1 acount would be okay in his eyes

I did, and he never said 1 char botting is ok.

Also "in my eyes" I rather see one bot running around instead of 30 farming and ruining every spot.

Oh ****, now you could wonder why... damn. :palm:

A bot is a bot i really don't care if 1 person has 30 chars or 1 char there should be NO bots as far as i'm concerned on Sro-R

not a like or hate on this one im on the fence simply because i kind of feel lied to.

the way the old exp and sp system was even if you did bot it would take months to reach the cap right? now with this new system the time would be drastically reduced but with this implimentation it kind of defeats the purpose in a sense. + when botters can buy silk they can lvl with 200% for 24/7 so.. i think actually sets back legits in a way. im for it because obviously nobody is going to buy prem for 32 chars but it also depends the prem price, the price of immo is less so if they drop the prem price down then its just a money sink at the end of the day.. honestly im not sure where to stand on this. i would feel better if the exp was 300% then dropped to 150% then dropped to 0 then it wouldn't matter and infact the legit guy would have a shot

i also said that , dutchy and penfold just hate me for absolutely no reason lol whatever though shame on me for saying my opinion. i live in a country where i dont have to be ashamed of my opinion and can speak freely and openly, if you have a problem with it the only thing you can do is bash me which is basically nothing.

True that, but we both know that is impossibru. At least this is what they made us believe so far, in which case 1 is still better than 30.

limiting 2 ip's to each household is a good idea but it doesnt fix the problem. botting with one two twenty or even 100 chars causes the same problems.
everyone knows the problem with gold bots so the problem with player bots is...

THEY USED THE SAME BOTS! player bots hog up the server too, player bots also dont respond, player bots also have stupid names, player bots also sell gold to gold companys, player bots also ks you.

i just love how people just slowly try to creep in an excuse for why its ok to bot every now and then and expects not to get flamed and then comes back with the lame excuse that i dont have a life.....

your playing the same game at the same time as i am man, if i dont have a life neither do yo guys!

(imagines the amount of forum lurkers that are bots that will rage when reading this lol)

Btw, if you are not satisfied with the current recharge system, i'd suggest you to do the ingame survey with all your accounts. Option 3 and 4 seem like good changes for the system in my eyes. 6 hours of pure leveling time is more than enough. Most legits i know don't even play close to that, so it's just fine. Of course it won't remove all bots, but at least it decreased the ammount of botters significantly, made it posssible to log in within a reasonable ammount of time and decreases the advantages of botters compared to legits. Even if you play only 3-4 of that 6 hours, i'd assume you could still keep up with a 6/7 botter (depending on the quality of your pts of course). Anyway i just like the Recharge System, it's the first time they actually did something that restricts the botters and a lot of botters stopped playing due to it or are going to do it. It's maybe not enough to keep the server bot-free, but it's a good first step at least.

Adding IP-limits into it too would help even more, so that they have both the recharge system and a ip-limit to decrease the ammount of botters. As a result of this, you could only bot 1-2 characters at the same time and for 6 hours at max. Legits should have no problems to keep up like that.

I already did it on my main account and you can only do it once per account. I'll do it later on my alt account though. I can make a screenshot then.

Sry, forgot to take a screenshot again and i don't have any more accounts. Maybe someone else can do it instead. They had 4 questions, i don't remember them exactly, but it was something like this:

1. Should we delete the recharge system?
Possible Answers:
1. Yes
2. No
3. Not sure

2. Do you think the recharge system is good as it is right now?
Answers:
1. Yes
2. No

3. Would the recharge system be better, if the time doesn't decrease while you are in town?
Answers:
1. Yes
2. No

4. Would the recharge system be better, if the leveling time is only 6 hours instead of 12 hours, but it counts only during fighting (like premium used to)?
Answers:
1. Yes
2. No

Most people in our union picked:
No, No, Yes, Yes. I'd suggest every legit to do the same. Of course it's your own decision, but we shouldn't let the bots win there and these are probably the best options for legits.

no what im trying to say.... it doesnt stop you from botting it just makes the bots disheartened that they cant bot 24/7. people can still bot and do exactly the same as they did before to fill up servers but they dont have an advantage from botting as much, still wont stop people doing it though (i dont think)

in order to combat something you have to do it gradually though.. honestly the ip limitation would greatly reduce the number of clients able to connect. that by itself would yield results. is it going to solve the problem? obviously not but you're not going to solve the problem right then and there and you're a fool if you think you can put somebody in checkmate in one move. ip limitation is definitely the first step in my opinion, next step statues around the game but have the statues move every hour like if they could create a system where they would move randomly within a radius, also have them within like a zig zag setup or something like that so even if the bot has detection it might move into 1. after that i mean i cant say i would think the population would die down quite a bit. but whether you guys like it or not the silkroad population is botters. this forum is a minority less than 1% and you and me both know it. look how joymax caved in after implementing this system within less than 24h. money is money even if they make money from stocks, they make money off players to. i had a guy in game screaming the N word to black players, the gm told the guy i'll have none of that when somebody said hell but when he said the n word he said lets ge along, and im wondering.. why didnt he just ban the guy?? hell isnt as severe of a word as the n word im sure we can all agree. it took the guy 3 more times of saying the n word and the gm sent him to the time out place. the gms could start using that time out place but i witnessed with my own eyes how little the GM is either allowed to or will do.

tl;dr - see above

Just noticed that 4 hours only is 100%. then another 4 is 50%. Not a problem for me personally as i get on every couple days for an hour or so, but that limit seems stupid considering the premium had 5 hours of xp time a day didn't it?

If on a legit forum the result are 50-50..it's clear to me that Joymax will remove this system.I voted love.

I heard that the "timer" doesn't decrease in the 5 hours of premium.

So 5 solid hours everyday + whatever they will set as a limit in the end.

Then that makes sense.

Overall it's a good idea. It has flaws though because the current system will prevent anyone from reaching 120 for a very very long time. It makes the less exp requirements kinda null and void because SRO-r will take longer to get to 120 than iSRO.

EDIT: Ok after reading the News on Sro-R the situation seems to be that if a Bot buys silk, they are not affected by this... Even if the tickets runs out but is stil active, they are not affected by the time penalty. How fucking awesome :palm:

I don't get why people don't like this. It might not have been the best option to get rid of the bots, but it worked and made most of them leave.

That they did. The system isn't as bad as I thought, but it's still not great. Needs tweaked to include only combat time I think.

Then participate in the survey and hope that they are going to do it like that. Choose "yes" for the 4th question of course.

At least no gold bots, since there is only premium plus, so no one will buy a p+ for all his accounts >.>

Look just under your name, there is a little timer there.

And now I hate the system. Forgot to log out when I went to class.. came back after being gone since 7 am.. it's Red. I was in town the whole dam time and it's STILL went down. That shit is ridiculous. It's suppose to prevent bots from leveling up super fast, but it's useless because it's still gives 8 hours of 100% exp and 4 hours of 50%.. That is still an unreasonable amount of time to play for a legit.
