I wish D3 had a longer time-out timer My internet likes to dc for 2 seconds and reconnect, but that's too long for D3

My new hamma Someone posted this on reddit and it looks like the values check out. To determine if you need more vit, armor, or all res: Take you( HP/35)-315. The result is how much all res you should have. Take your all res*10 and you will have how much armor you need. Example: I'm at 35k life. (35k/35)-315 = 685 all res 685*10 = 6850 armor. At 35k life I should have: 685 all res and 6850 armor. I have 658-840 all res and 8500 armor. (With Enchantress I get 9500 armor.) I need to drop armor for all res and vit.

Or those just some rumors? Haven't heard anything about this

No, but it would be advised to start gearing up around 57. A3 and A4 Hell can drop items that are good enough for inferno. If you don't start saving these items early, you'll have to come back and redo A4 Hell for drops so you don't get 1 hitted in Inferno. In hell I had ~42k life (8k more life than now, after spending a couple million in gear) and about 3k more in dps. I just stacked STR and VIT and I could have rolled A4 hell as a blind quadraplegic.

That's what I figured. yeah I've already noticed how much resistances are going to effect survivability. Gotta give it to Blizzard to actually make that matter

So 4 days ago my account was "hacked". Did a bit of research and there seems to be some exploits regarding the Blizzard log in system and about 9999999 forum posts about being hacked. I put in a support ticket as soon as it happened and I still haven't got a response. Tried calling Blizzard support and the hold time was 2.5 hours (**** that shit). I don't think they're going to release the real money auction house at this rate, especially since all these "hackings" are definitely not the fault of the user.
zzzzzzz paid $70 for nothing, kind of want my money back

If there was an exploit used for hacking accounts they wouldn't have taken your level 15 character with 100k. They would have spent their time getting better accounts.

Update on my BROBARIAN. So i've been buying and selling, gearing the shit out of my barb: Up to almost 50k hp, 750 resists (need to get another ring with 50 all res to break 800), 9750 armor, 973 life on hit. This is with my warcry buff and enchantress (both of which I always have on).

Not to sound pretentious or anything, but I'm adept enough with computers to know it wasn't my fault. Threads about hackings keep popping up, there are a few on another forum I frequent. It's most likely the reason they pushed back the real money auction house. I do however understand your point about taking money from a level 40 (I only had like 40k at the time, just bought some stuff). It's more of a guessing game for them though, since some accounts have millions and it really doesn't take long to clear out a character. I have two new people with gibberish names on my 'recent played with' list who are no doubt the people who 'hacked' me.

Nobody "hacked" you. This is the some type of stuff thats been going on in WoW for years. Blizzard has released several notices trying to give out actual information to counter the spread of erroneous rumors created by people also probably consider themselves adept with computers. Here's the latest post straight from their mouth. http://www.diablofans.com/blizz-tracker ... ltiplayer/I really feel bad for their community managers. Everything they say is ignored or taken out of context and then people just go on complaining non-stop shitting over everything regardless. It makes their forums one of the worst places to go to learn anything about the game whereas if you hop over to a fan site magically, miraculously its just full of people playing and enjoying the game. On a positive note i found my first Legendary ilvl53 ring...feels good man

I have never visited an "suspicious sites" or mentioned my PW or ID (or e-mail) to anyone and I have never got hacked in a game, also, use different Password on every game and dont use same passwords (for example for your e-mail and the game account). I haven't been using Battle.net for long, but im pretty happy with their security methods.

Iirc you're a monk? Monks are a lot cheaper to gear so you shouldn't be stck at that wall for long.

My password for bnet was unique to all other passwords I've used, and my email is secure as well. Unless you're telling me the mass amount of people who have been compromised (I hate using the word hacked) have ALL been keylogged or gave away their information.. The thread you linked does have a post that makes some sense though. If Blizzard did have a security flaw which only gave access to accounts, not personal information, would they tell us? Right now we only have their word to rely on, and quite frankly that's not a very powerful thing anymore. Don't get me wrong I love Blizzard as a company and I support them, but this just wasn't my fault.

The question is, if they have access to your account, why not actually hack the account instead of a couple gold?

Because an account is nearly worthless. Blizzard can very easily give me my account back, the items and gold are worth infinitely more.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of players who have no security and don't know what a support ticket is.

I tend to believe you in this instance because whilte Blizzard's security is usually pretty good, it takes some time for them to outsmart anyone doing the "hacking." Given that this game is still relatively new, I'm sure they're still working out those tiny, hidden away access points that "hackers" are using to compromise accounts. They are usually really good about restoring items so long as your ticket is as precise as possible. Character name, date, relative time, relative location, etc. are all important pieces of info to include in a ticket.

After a lot of bullshit, I finally did it. This was a lot more challenging than a lot of the other games (both single and multi) that I have played. Just 2 more acts to go.
