We've all played several online games before so thought I'd ask this simple question.

Have you ever lead a clan/guild/team on an online game? How was it?

Yeah, Silkroad and Dragonica. It was a super awesome experience. Everyone asking for advise or calling you "boss" was cool. It's a nice experience.

I don't think I'm active enough as a gamer anymore to be able to lead a game. I had much more free time when I was in Junior High but then I wasn't mature enough to run one.

Was sorta co-leader of the best union on diamond (p-server), other than that, nothing. It wasn't really any different to being a long time guild member, I guess.

I've been a club leader in NHL more than once. Way too much work.

I've been guild leader temporarily in sro. Way too much work.

I had the title of Marshal (leader of an alliance) in Jade Dynasty.
At our top, we had 12 reasonably active guilds. It was fun to be at
the head of an alliance because people in the alliance generally
have a similar idea of how they like their game to be played. The
alliance I was in was a mostly pve alliance and we never had the
goal of crushing the other alliances on the server. We were just
a big heap of 'friends' who all helped out each other, and we never
had any real enemies on the server. I gave up leadership because
everyone came to me and the 'second in command' with small issues
and it just took more time to fix problems in the alliance than to
actually play and enjoy the game. It was a fun time though, I
played that game over 1.5 years.

On a sidenote, I was never fully in charge of the alliance, the
decisions I made were discussed in the alliance chat.

Guild and union leader in sro, it actually takes a lot more time and commitment than most people realize. I was a guild leader for a long time, almost 2 years, but I don't regret it, I enjoyed playing sro and our guild was full of really cool people. Organizing for fortress war was always a major pain...

MG on Troy back in the day.

Idk if it counts or no, but a dota team leader, and IMO leading a team in such kind of games is hard :/

In every game I've played, yes. But my style of play is more of a co-leadership style since I'm not always online.

Yes, it was more like an obligation, didn't really like it.
That feeling that I need to be there all the time was annoying, being by myself with no guild to worry about was way better, so I didn't take that position for long.

Iv lead Suddendeath guild in sro for over 4 years, co-founded a clan I sat as head of the clan, lead sd in wow for a year. Tbh I'm rarely not leading something :) but I'm good at anyone who's been in my guilds or knows of me can vouch for this.

iv put I'm a clan leader on my cv but depends how you word it. But if you look.at it the way you have to manage 50+ people from different countries it favors you

Guild leader in Allods online. It was fun, and I had alot of good officers to make it easier. It had it ups and down, but overall a good experience, but I doubt I would start up a guild on my own again. :)

I use to be a clan leader for several clans in the original Call of Duty when i was much younger. One of which containing 50+ active members, unfortunately the server we all played on was shut down and we didn't have a forum or any other location to meet at so it died. I was "co-leader" i guess you could say of a team/clan in cod2. This was more of a small team of bolt action only players that would scrim, less of a clan only had like 3-5 members. Other then that no, like others i don't really care for a sole leadership position, i don't mind being VP tho.

Didn't know/remember you used to play cod1. It's my all time favorite game :) Are there still 'active' servers in the US? There's only 2-3 on EU that are being played and they're only rifle and only carentan. No SD or TDM rotation servers anymore :(

Yes it is one of my favs as well :). I really don't know i haven't played it in years so i really can't say, it might be different from patch to patch. I do know cod2 is still fairly active for the PC.
