Edit: It would be nice if the launcher had said that I needed to check my email and allow the log-in attempt. Idiots.

Yes, but I thought I had already done that because of the whole email authentication stuff that didn't work before, it was a whole new type of authentication that I had to do for the second one.

It now became the "black screen after logging in" error. There's already a couple threads on GW2Guru about the issue but there's really nothing I can do but wait for a patch or new nVidia GW2 drivers. (Got the latest beta one).

The best weapon for condition based rangers is the Shortbow so that always goes on your main hand. One thing to remember about the shortbow is to flank your enemies as much as possible. Also, if you cash Sharpening Edges, try to get up close really quick and fire your Poison Volley. This is because the skill acts like a shotgun: if you fire it close enough, you hit your enemies with the full 5 arrow burst which means more damage and yes, 5 bleeds (from sharpening edges) and 5 poison stacks from the skill itself. Some condition rangers tend to disregard the longbow and go for melee weapons and the horn offhand (which is also a good alternative to cast boons) but I personally love using the LB together with SB. I can use the longbow to start shaving off some HP off enemies from a distance and also to throw them back if I want to gain some distance or interrupt their skills. I might go with the dual axe build or greatsword as my 2nd weapon setting later on but for now, I am attached to my longbow.

Also, LMAO Fergusson's Crossing = free kill points. Those idiots can never get their shit together when we were fighting Dragonbrand and Fergies. Right now we're battling Shiverpeaks and some crappy server but so far it's a good match against Shiver. We weren't at our best on the last WvWvW so we were dominated: Shiverpeaks 65%, Blackgate 35%, Other-server-I-can't-recall 0%.

Btw. Build update: I placed Superior Rune of Krait on my underwater breather and 1 of my armor equipments. that way I get 5 bonus from the Afflicted rune, and 2 from the Krait rune. Both runes contribute heavily to Condition/DOT.

I want to cry so hard right now. I've been waiting for this game for 4 years and for the last 5 days they can't Farking manage to fix their issues with the nVidia drivers. Everyone is getting the black screen error and I've wiped my drivers and performed clean installs billions of times with no result.

Right now my Laptop won't even recognize my GPU (Can't open the nVidia Control Panel)

it's a great game, i'm atm playing a 30/30 power/precision/condition damage 10 boon(buffs) with greatsword

It's a fun game, all the way up to 80, im curious to see how interesting the end game content is, that's always the hardest part to pull off to keep people around

Getting annoyed that there's no real side quests.

I participate in events and everything as often as I can, yet I was still level 14 when I finished with the Asura beginners area, and I can't move on in the story quest, because the current quest has some monster that one shot kills me. The mobs in the 15-30 zone are more difficult for me to kill as well, so I've gotten to 16 by going around the Sylvari starter area and finding POI's and doing events there.

Either I'm building my Ele badly, or Ele is just too squishy until I can get more Talents. Thinking of switching from scepter/dagger to staff.

A lot of the world events are linked to other quests. Some of them have different quests for different outcomes and just learn to follow them.

You can join multiple guilds and cross server.

You should consider joining us just so you can use our guild chat. Often times if you have a question or something like that, we'll be able to help without being on the same server.
