My friends know that I play video games (even though I don't think I'm a gamer), but I hate talking about games when I'm out or something. Wait, wait... why talking about MMO's or games overall irl is stupid? Me and my gf do it most of the time, some with some of my friends. Occasionally.

I only talk about games with a couple of friends who play these games. When there are more people around, then I don't.

^It's just that if only a couple of us play games, the conversation will become boring for them. And I prefer to talk about everything else first and then games.

I only discuss certain games with people. I'd never bring up Silkroad, but I'd talk about WoW all day.
Games like Halo/Call of Duty/any other recent games are fair though.

Yeah, that's exactly why I don't tell people about SilkRoad, it's just that this is the only MMORPG I play and none of my friends play these types of games and the people that do play these kind of games are viewed by them as people who have no social life and as awkward people. I do however play online games with them, mostly CoD, Battlefield 3 and Madden.

If there true mates there wouldnt judge you on what games you play, everyone has there own personnel prefrence on what games to play and enjoy, at the end of the day its only a game.

imo its worst to enjoy somehting and being ashamed of it, this is what loser does. There's a huge difference in not talking about something because you're ashamed of it(which I don't really think is anyone's case here) and not talking about something because you're the only one who could actually talk about the subject. None of my friends play Silkroad, and very few play WoW. I'm not going to talk about either subject with the friends that don't play either because the conversation would be very one sided. I think the roids are messing with your ability to think logically.

The only games I play with my friends are Dota and blops2, when I'm with just them, we'll occasionally talk about it, but it won't be all we talk about, cause y'know we do shit other than play games that's worth talking about too LOL. And then when we go out with the rest of my friends with the ladies included, having your own conversation about games ain't gonna get you pussy and just makes the whole outing awkward. Sometimes I go to birthdays and more than usually, there's a small group of people who play league, and that's all they would talk about at my friend's birthday or party; which makes them seem loserish. If you have friends irl that you play games with, you're probably gonna leave game talk at home over Skype or some shit, that's why people don't usually talk about games when they're out.
People tend to live 2 lives, one on the Internet and one in real life; YOLO?

Words from the wise This. On topic: My guilty pleasure I realized, is Cascada. That's the stuff that first got me into EDM and I still listen privately from time to time.
