Yeah I never use YouTube comments anyway. They're like the worst of the trolls from 4chan and Reddit and 9gag combined to create a community of incredibly unfunny, unoriginal, and downright moronic comments.

It sucks, just like every other change google does to just about everything they have lately.
If it's not changing gmail to suck ass, it's constantly changing little things on youtube, now comments section which seems lame, and I can't even comment anymore if noscript is installed, even if its disabled.
It's like they are bored and sitting around just wondering what they can change for the hell of it.
Like the quality button, there's an entire bar on the bottom of videos, at the end was annotations on/off, screen size, and click to select quality, etc. Wasn't cluttered in the least bit, so I have no idea why they decided to add the gear button, then click the things you want, all it did was add an extra click to get the desired affect. I can hardly keep a theme on youtube as well because they keep changing stuff and a whole part of youtube turns white again.
All this crap like every other day asking me over and over again if I wanna use my gmail account name or youtube account name, I don't even know how the hell they got linked really.
I miss youtube being nice and simple, being able to load a video and replay any part thats loaded without having to reload it as well.
**** youtube -.-.

Idiots trying to shove Google+ down our throats to beat FB. It's just not going to work that way. For a long time I refused to change my YT name and make this shitty G+ acc but now you have to have one in order to comment, even on your own videos... Why do I have to have an acc on another website to comment on this website? At least I could choose to keep my damn YT username though. And they messed up the comment section even more. In the old days I used to be able to click show all comments and it did in fact show all comments. Then they included pages even there and then they adopted this extremely retarded 'Show more' system. Now they also deleted all previous comment ratings before the implementing of this new system (I had many top comments ). And the way the comments are now sorted is very stupid. There are only a couple things that improved. They removed the annoying 500 word cap which I hated and now you can post links(although there is a bad side to this as people can now post links leading to malicious websites and once spambots find out about this, it's going to be bad). Oh and why did they mess up the thing about Chrome that allowed you to open the last closed page even if you closed the entire browser? We should make a kickstarter to buy YouTube and fix it.

I always used ctrl+shift+t to open up the last tab I closed, which also opens up the last session you had if you just opened up chrome again.
As for comments, haha I don't even look at them. Doesn't even matter. What I was more pissed about that they shoved everything into the gear option. Boy clicking that then clicking the box to go bigger was annoying.

The gear button in the YT player doesn't bother me because I have auto-HD on anyways.

Also this. Especially bolded part. It's still there. It seems you don't have the latest version or something because mine has the apps button left of the favourites bar. Also the apps page and the most visited sites page aren't both accessible in the same 'place'.

It takes a few seconds for the recently closed tabs to show up for me though after opening the browser.

so... timestamp links in the comments open a new tab now... ... meanwhile I'm finding Yahoo! search to be rather good actually... The internet search is much less cluttered with paid-for stuff and so far the thing I've needed has always been the first link The image search seems to be inferior to google's though. I'm not sure yet, needs more researching

Tasdik wrote: One does not simply replace google with yahoo. It's not that hard, just poke in your browser's settings In all seriousness though, I don't even remember why people hate yahoo so much :/. I get that people switched to google back in the days because it really was the best search engine. Nowadays however Google has sold out so much that quality-wise they cannot offer the best anymore. Yahoo dissapeared out of sight, but I highly doubt they've been standing still all this time. The last couple of years it's been getting increasingly harder to find what you need with Google, because the first thing they show you is a bunch of stuff you don't want. Additionally Google seems to have lost it's better judgement. They've been making terrible tweaks to all of their services, consistently make each one worse with every update. Google is barely usable now with the with the stupid block menu. Youtube has turned into a pile of shit, they're forcing G+ onto everything and even GMail has gotten worse with the new layouts... I am sick of Google. I am sick of the way they just jam downgrades down my throat and look on contently. I am looking for a greener patch. Yahoo has been ignored for the longest time, but so far I haven't really had any issues with them at all. They have undoubtedly updated their engine and the service now conforms to today's requirements. It works fine, if not better. All you have to do is seek it out :/ Don't shoot it down before you try it :/

And the new tab thing is kinda messed up, also you can't directly open the comments page of the video from a comment notification any more and right clicking 'view all comments' doesn't give the option of opening in a new tab which sucks. This is especially bad for partnered people as YT gets angry if you open your own video a lot. And maybe we should try Bing?

Not after the shit they tried with Xbox One. That's the main reason I went to yahoo instead of bing. MS bought/partnered with yahoo at some point though. It says at the bottom 'powered by bing' =.=. I'm not really sure what the exact relationship is, but if it's a choice between 2 microsoft searches I'd pick the one that looks better which is yahoo imo.

Ive switched my email to yahoo, deleted any and all Google + stuff (I thgouht it was going to replace facebook when it came out. . .but google farked that up) Deleted all my browsers cookies and favorites (a lot of the stuff I favorited was crap anyway) redownloaded i.e. and safari, and just made a yahoo account for email. I don't mind not being signed into youtube.
As soon as the next youtube happens, I'll just start going there anyway. . .(I think google is eventually going to kill youtube.)
