Happy Chinese New Year my fellow Chinese persons. This year should be good, lots of relatives in New Zealand so that means more hong bao for me  I know there's only a handful of us Chinese on these forums, but have a good one nonetheless. Brb, gonna go eat and get rich.

The year is 2014 but what is the real year? I mean the earth has been around well over 2,014 years... Just a random thought...

In my perspective, if someone were to say that to me and my group of friends, we wouldn't be too offended by it, but the second they leave, we'd be like "who the fuck is that guy? dumb gwai lo lol."
It was a poor joke imo, but nothing to be offended by because of the pure stupidity of it LOL
I believe "We're laughing at you, not with you" would apply to that situation
