She dyed her hair black to help conceal her identity since they are going to be traveling around the Vale.

Bran sent Rickon and Osha to the Greatjon Umber's hold fast. He's the guy that got his finger bitten off by Robb Stark's direwolf, Grey Wind. Him and his family have always been loyal to the Starks. They split up when Jojen convinced Bran to go beyond The Wall to meet the three-eyed raven. Right after Bran warged into Summer and saved Jon Snow from being killed by the Wildlings he was hanging out with. This lead to Summer being injured by one of the Wildlings and we haven't seen him since, except for when Bran wargs into his while he's hunting. This was also when Jon decided it was time to go back to The Wall so Ygritte shot a few arrows at him and his him three times. He showed up to Castle Black almost dead. He then told the Knight's Watch about the Wildlings' plan to attack and that they should go kill the traitors that have taken over Craster's Keep. Somewhere arounf this time Sam, who was still traveling with Gilly and Lil' Sam, met up with Bran and the gang. Sam knows he's alive but can't tell Jon because he swore an oath to him. Anyway, they haven't been heard from since.

You need to work on your story telling skills. That was painful to read.
But hey, thanks for the explanation.

I got hooked on the show finally. Finished all of season one yesterday and I'm on episode three of season two right now.
Such a good show so far

I was surprised that tonights episode only focused on one particular storyline the whole time.
Also, while it was a good episode, for it supposedly being the "oh shit" episode of the season, I found it lacking.
Also, my favorite archer dying made me sad.

I thought the second last episode of the season for HBO shows were supposed to be when crazy shit goes down, that last episode was pretty lackluster. I hope they make up for it next week considering they're going to show it in theatres...

Knowing what was going to happen from the books, it seemed kind of obvious that he was going to be the one to kill her when he said he was the best archer in his town.

The people I read about coming to life and acting out the good and bad things depicted in the books. All the things I imagined in my head coming to life before my eyes. It's fvcking awesome. I feel like it's harder for show watchers to keep up with all the characters. Most of my friends that watch the show don't know the majority of the character's names and that makes me feel like they aren't as attached to them as we are. Some of them didn't even notice when Daario's character changed, or The Mountain's.

Finally all caught up, including last weeks episode.
Damn. All around damn. The 9th episode of the season is usually the action packed climax one right? I feel like there was a lot left open that this next episode will have to round off or detract until next season.
Anyone who has read the books, any idea about how far we are through them at this point in the show?

Looks like they have dipped into A Feast For Crows which is the fourth book but that book basically just followed Jamie and Brienne. The last book followed Tyrion, Jon, and Dany I believe.
