I do want to see the bethesda one but like you said, it's 3.30am for me. Guess we'll see if I'm still awake by then. Will watch the xbox and EA one for sure.

Won't be able to watch almost any of these because of the times. I would only really be interested in the PC gaming one and what FROM are gonna do with Dark Souls 3.

Lawl I love all the Bathesda fanboys, I skipped through the whole presentation in 3 minutes and got all the info I needed from it.
I doubt I would get excited about any release from them unless it was the next ES but even that had to be amazing.
That being said Dishonored 2 looks like a good time.

pffff, finally home. I wanna watch Bethesda's con, but Microsoft's is about to start D;
I saw some small stuff this morning about Fallout Shelter phone game, which looked surprisingly interesting lol. But I've been avoiding looking at it at school.
anyway, I added the twitch replay in top post for anybody that missed it.

This holo lens minecraft looks pretty cool lol.
Gears 4 looks suhweet as well.
From my understanding what you see is far from what the guy with the hololens sees. The device itself has a rather narrow FOV. sS sseeing it like you do through the camera is not possible (yet). It did look great though.
Also very happy about the backwards compatability, not entirely sure how it works yet and only select games at first but cool nevertheless.
Looking forward to the EA one now, hoping for a bunch of ME4 news and remaster announcement.
MS did some pretty amazing stuff to get back their audience. I'm honestly impressed this year.
Backwards compatible catalog, Fallout PC/Xbox mod sharing (I think legit modding on consoles is HUGE), new good looking IP's and Sequels. It was all pretty amazing. Even the hololens demo was good, although it should be taken with a grain of salt. The final portion with the eye tracking and console command seems like an amazing idea and easily implementable feature. I hope we'll be seeing stuff like that when the time comes.
Honestly, at this point I can't think too negatively of the xbox anymore. I think they managed to clean out the shitty stigma they had from a year ago.
The only thing I'm not too positive about is the fancy new controller. The idea's nice, I'm just not sure why it's a separate product.

Well EA was a major let down for me.. Really hoped to get more info on ME, but besides a 1min trailer and giving me the finger (holiday 2016 ugh) nothing... dammit

Well.. I don't think anybody was expecting another mass effect since 3 ended the story if I've understood correctly. They just wanted to tease it and let it know it's going to exist.
I'm actually pleasantly surprised by EA. Mirror's Edge 2, SW:Battlefront looking good, ME4 out of nowhere. They went pretty all out. Just the sports bit is a pain to sit through as usual...

Mass Effect 4 has been announced months ago, don't remember where but it was an official announcement. Was really hoping to hear something about a remaster for the trilogy, guess I have to wait till the holidays and use the backward compatability option.

not a unconfirmed rumor/leak perhaps?

Well major leaks then because I'm 100% sure I have seen screenshots of people working on the ME4 (at the time) armor/models/landscapes etc. Probably saw them late last year o.O

New call of duty stole my heart, is been a while since I last payed 60 full tag for any cod. Thinking this one will be it.
Also Battlefront sucked ass, did not surprise me one bit. Just more mediocre content glorified through Stars Wars nostalgia/brand factor.

Fallout 4 looks so sick DDDD I love what they did with the power armor in this game. Fallout 3 power armor was always kind of underwhelming. Can't use without training, super heavy, just better armor... felt kind of pointless
We installed fallout shelter and my sister is addicted already

You're talking about this, right? Because it does indeed look pretty badass
Indeed.. Been watching some gameplay videos (there was a capture event for youtubers/streamers etc) and it looks surprisingly nice.
Yeah. Maybe this should be my "comeback" to Call of Duty. Haven't bought any of the games since Modern Warfare 2. Still play that game from time to time
So anything truly new and innovative this year?...
I'd say this is the best E3 we've seen in years. Especially the first few cons had some pretty mind-blowing stuff fans had been screaming for. The new console generation has finally set in and the exclusives and sequels are finally starting to churn out.
Mostly Ubisoft and Nintendo were boring. Very little going there. Nintendo mainly due to already revealing their stuff during their own mini events in the form of Nintendo Direct's. They just had nothing left to show at E3 we hadn't already seen.
Bethesda's show pretty much stole the show imo, but I'm a sucker for fallout. I made a fallout thread in the gaming section a few days ago and I updated it with the E3 news if you're interested. They also showed a new Doom and a very good looking Dishonered 2.
Microsoft announced some pretty big game changers too (360 backwards compatibility for xbox one, fallout mods on xbox, new IP ReCore (directed by Keiji Inafune), Halo 5, GoW4 and remasters).
Even EA didn't suck for once with Mirror's Edge 2, SW:Battlefront, Mass Effect 4 and at long last a new NFS:Underground.
Sony came with Kingdom Hearts 3, a FF7 remake and Shenmue 3 apparently.
All in all everything sounded faily PC friendly too. There was a dedicated PC gaming show, but also a lot of general PC announcements during the show.
There was word of GoW remasters + 4 coming to PC, as well as some rumoring about masterchief collection coming to PC.
Whether this is 'innovative' is up to you.
Frankly I f*cking hate that word and I don't like it being used as a measure for quality. It's shitty buzzword that has lost all meaning.
A lot of these games looked insanely good to me.
Check out the E3 recap site in the top post for details.

So nothing really new but re-hashes of what we know that got improved upon with nice graphics or stuff that shouldav been done initially that are being done now.....K...I can't really stomach these events that much with all the PR/marketing hype and bullshit buzzwords claims like....spectacular...groundbreaking...innovative...game-changing... which honestly does't truly measure up....at least not after playing/using their product for a few weeks/months....But I guess these events are for the loyalists who are already enamored and hooked on previous offerings.....

So Dark Souls 3, The Last Guardian, Need For Speed, For Honor and Mirror's Edge Catalyst are the only ones I'm interested in. And looks like I didn't miss much by not being able to watch the PC gaming show, besides #HaveAWank.

How about 'Iconic'?
I haven't heard that word flung around too much in bad context, so I don't hate it... yet. Only perp in recent memory I can think of is Ubisoft. Epic is getting annoying though.

I don't really understand the obsession with innovation though... Not everything can, nor should be innovative. Sometimes you just want more of the same, or a deeper experience. This is is evolution, but necessarily innovation.
There's nothing wrong with the lack of innovation. It's like people instantly dismiss stuff for not changing much. That's the whole point, you offer people more content of the type that they were interested in. Why betray their expectations by doing weird experiments?

Nothing wrong with evolution...improving on what already exists is OK...the problem is that everyone is doing it...It's easier and cheaper than attempting something reasonably different....so these development companies ride the gravy train with lengthy iterations of roughly the same thing...repackaged...and the customer base sheep behavior compliments this lack of creativity....that's until people start to become enlightened to this fact and get bored....looking for something remotely new...like the state I'm in now...
