Interestingly the Diablo 3 Diablo model is portrayed in the cinematic, but the Diablo 2 model is used ingame :S
I've been spending a good deal of hours on the game. It's honestly much better than I had anticipated. They do a great job of differentiating themselves from LoL and Dota2. And to some extent I even think their game is better. They streamlined the game a lot. No more items, gold and last-hitting, but customizable skill progression in its stead. You'd think that takes away from what makes the game good, but it's actually really pleasant. Last-hitting in Dota2 results in an extremely slow early phase because nobody's pushing their creeps forward and getting damage done. So that's gone now... Right from the get-go it has a very 'Go Ham or Go Home' approach and I like it.
Every map has a unique gimmick to it to spice up the game and speed up the pace, which really just pushes players to play aggressively and run around the map.
There's also something awesome about seeing all the characters from Blizzard Franchises kill each, you know, in the same kind of way as Super Smash Brothers. Playing as Raynor from SC2 and shooting Diablo in the face is great
Characters are on a weekly rotation like in LoL, but they can be purchased with ingame currency, which also isn't that hard to obtain thanks to daily mission. (Just like in Hearthstone). Updates are regular, and there's a new character added every few weeks.
So anyway, I'm enjoying it a lot. Anybody else want join?

I like the game too. I played it a bunch before summer, but stopped again as I got busy. A couple of friends want me to come back again now.
I got started after seeing a friend of mine playing it. I actually had closed beta access, but I didn't get around to playing it back then. I usually have too many games installed at any given time so I try to finish one before trying another :/
But I needed something to play together when I had him over so I ended up just downloading the game. No regrets. I can't take it anywhere near as seriously as SC2, so no frustration and the relatively short matches make it a great 'in between' / 'take a break' game.
Favorite hero is Arthas. Love frostmourne hungers so strong and so many ways to use it

Boring as ****, there is virtually no stimuli for me. I go 30 5 or something every game and don't feel rewarded in the least.
Meanwhile I play dota 2 randomly and get destroyed and when I do ok I am cheering, this is the case also for LoL to a lesser extent. I couldn't get myself to play hotm to level 12 in the end for the diablo 3 portrait.

Probably comes down to playing more and getting your MMR up, or unlocking ranked mode where people play with more intent to win. Not much else to say about it. if it isn't for you it isn't for you.

Is not the people im playing against, is the game that I find incredibly dull.
But yeah if you like it and are having fun nothing else matters.

Is the way the game itself plays, your actions don't feel impactful. You can destroy early game for example but if the enemy drags the game they will have equal stats.

Thought it would be noteworthy to mention blizzard just launched a pretty unique hero
2 Players control 1 hero. Cho controls movement, Gall is the main combatant. A co-op experience in a moba
Currently the hero can be obtained for free by winning 2 games with someone that already has the hero. I already got my Cho'Gall, so next up I gotta play some games with someone that doesn't have the hero yet and get a 2200 coin reward .
Anyone interested in trying it out with me?
