Just a couple of questions Ive got before I go anywhere else with my new character:
I'm doing a 2:1 Int Sword build, and was wondering what skills I should take. I'm only lvl 11 currently and have only skilled up to use the basic Fire, light and cold "swipes" (are these what are known as "Imbue" ?) and I'm considering doing thus:
* Using the majority of the lightning powers. (I wont put any lvl's and stuff, mainly because I haven't thought it through that much.)
* Only using the cold enhancements and nukes.
* Only using the fire enhancements and nukes.
Does this seem sensible? I'm trying to make a nuker with a little bit more defense (Hence the sword and shield) Also, should I even consider the Weapon based powers? Am I right I'm thinking you can use the heuskal masteries as well Bicheon? (As in, I can use "wolf bite spear" with my sword?) Or seeing as I'm more INT based, should I just stick with Force?
One last question, Ive seen many items with +3, +5, etc, and never actually understood what the bonus is. I know the (%) is how much better than NPC, but whats the the +3?

ok i will give you some advice before you do anything, since you are still lvl 11. FARM. sword players lvl up slower than others, so you need to farm at lower lvls to get your SP that you need for the later lvls. and since your still 11 and havent done anything yet, farm at 16 with a 9 gap.
2. go to this site, http://bobtheveg.dyndns.org/SRO/Char_Build_Applet/
do the math, consider your character very well and do the math, calculate which masteries you need to get and still be at the 300limit. you can not get every mastery, you can only get a few of them, and now with the cap raise this will be even more important.
so go there, fist check if all the skills you need are lower than 300 and then claculate your SP needed based on what the site tells you.
basically, you can not get 4 skills and max them all, and since you need to be an int, you definetly need to get FORCE for the extra int passive. so thats 60points right there, 69 on fire, 69 on ice, 69 or your sword, then it only leaves you a few points for light, and trust me you need light for the grasswalk. so you really need to consider which way your going very carefully.

This guy is high,you do not NEED I Repeat DO NOT need force for extra mana,especially 60 lvl's of it,what a joker

ok, dont go cold cuz cold is terrible, even for a nuker
farm yes
go fire main mastery and lightning seconday master
max sword at 60
max fire at the cap
max lightning at the cap
get fire imbue, buffs, and nuke-no passive or firewall
get lightning run, buffs, nuke and passive-no imbue
GO ALL OUT INT FOR NOW ON DO NOT GO HYBRID
it will make your char a LOT stronger in the long run

Thanks for the quick replies.
All INT? Really? I thought a hybrid would be better, shows what I know
So it seems I shouldn't touch Cold at all? I never really liked it anyway.
What should I wear in terms of defense? I'm currently using garment, mainly because A) You move faster B) It looks funky. But should I go Armour if I'm going Pure INT from now on?
*Currently sp farming at Chin Tomb. I have 500ish so far, so a while to go.*
One last thing, I got the red flag and Identity card of So-ok. Are these actually Merchant and Hunter items or are they just for show?

lol dude, if he was going hybrid int, then he defintely would need force, his char would have ended up being weak without the extra passive. he wouldnt hit as hard as the rest.
its a different story if he goes int, but for hybrid he does need force.

yes, they are actually merchant and hunter items
good sp farming good good
so, now the armors u ask? well i would suggest either
a)garment
or
b)armor
now, armor is my preferation over garment, mainly since it cuts down your damage taking factor and garment will allow mobs to attack u more, making your fragile character even more fragile
but, even over that, garment helps in lvling, mainling cuz of the 20% boost in speed-think about it, if it takes u less time to get to a mob the more XP gain(well in your case SP).
but to cover this up, get the lightning run and speed towards those mobs!
so i guess go armor to cover up your weak physical defense as a nuker
still go all INT though!!

int hybrid is actually really good if you put alot of work in it. Force does jackshit to change this tho. At lvl 52 u can add more int one 1 item then you would get in force, so lol.
oh, and each (+) means its 1 better level.
Example: lvl 16 +3 bow= lvl 19 normal bow
SOS= +5, SOM= +10, SOSUN= +15
So
SOSUN +7 lvl 16 bow= as good as lvl 28 bow
