Methinks the bow skills are more important, being a phys. Thats my best educated guess.
Try being pure INT with five masteries. I need tons and tons of SP. But I'm not gonna worry about that right now, I'm gonna get a few hundred back from useless skills I added when remove them, and I'm gonna add as few skills as possible.

??? Huh? If this is true then what makes people sp farm
If your a dedicated sp farmer and your farming at the stronghold, you'd most likely not pick up gold and just focus on the amount that you kill. You cant compare the speed that you kill things while farming then when leveling.
Try killing 2500-3000 baddies in a day, which is what some of the less dedicated farmers get out, to pruduce the 10k sp a week (roughly)
Sp farming is a choice, as long as it makes the person playing it a happy chap

Well let me clear up some things here.
Farming SP is required at some point. Yes, you only get 10% extra SP for every level your mastery is lower than your level up to 90%, however this does not mean that just because you only get about 2x the SP you'd normally get that it's useless. My build ( my pure int pvp nuker ) costs about 127k SP in total from 0 masteries used to level 60 with all used skills maxed. You won't get 127k from leveling up unless you're at a 4+ diff the whole way.
There are 2 ways to farm. 1) Do it all at once with a 9 difference so your level doesn't change and you get maximum SP exp per kill. 2) Do it over a long period of time with a small gap.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both:
1)
Advantages - You get it all done at once which means you can level up with a 0 mastery difference all the way getting all the skills you want making you much faster at leveling.
Disadvantages - Takes a long time before you actually begin leveling. In this case, people may have gained 20-30 levels over you ( if you farm at 16 or so ) which means you can't beat them until you level for a few days.
2)
Advantages - You're leveling up while you're gaining SP which means you don't have to sit in the same place day after day doing the same thing over and over and over.
Disadvantages - You're gimped the whole way up ( can be beaten in pvp by someone your level ) and most of the time you still need 2-3 levels to max out the stuff you need.
The way I did it was to stop at 16, farm a little bit to help me upgrade my nukes later on, and then keep a 0 mastery/level difference all the way to 59. From 50 -> 59 I only upgraded 1 mastery, and at 59 I dropped that mastery back to 50 using the curst heart quest. Now I'm farming until I have the remaining 90k SP I need to complete my build. This makes sense for several reasons - I have the strongest gear I can get in the game at this point, I can stand a chance at most of the server in pvp because my level is so much higher, and I don't need EXP because at 59-60, exp is unneeded. You can get to 60.99 sure.. but why do that? You'll be grinding for 3-4 weeks getting 0 exp.. seems like a waste to me. By the time I make 60.99 I will have all but maybe 10k of the SP I need.
Also, someone noted that they believe that grinding one level in 5x would give several thousand SP. Well guess what - It does. At 0 difference I was getting 2-3k per level. You might think that's a lot, but upgrading your mastery alone at this level requires 600+ points.. that means you've got 3 things you can upgrade. I have 4 trees I'm upping ( 2400 ) and about 12-14 skills ( 3000+.. staggered in 2 level intervals usually ). Unless you're at a 4 or so level difference you won't possibly get 5400 per level.
And by the way, 41, 42, 43, 44 ( I can't remember what levels had quests ) wasn't anything. I got .03 - .04 per kill. Guess what, You get a quest at 53. You get another quest at 59. 54, 55, 56, 57, and 58 are pure grind. And you get .01-.015% per kill at those levels ( on white mobs at 0 difference ). Chew on that if you think 4x is a long grind.

yea i havent been on for a day just to let this post run
Spoo i dunt mind the assuming but right now im
lvl 47+, been playing for a little less than 2months passing all the people ive seen sp farming for no reason at all who started b4 me
im pure int and going 4 trees sword, cold, light and fire
maybe in the 50s it might be different but up till now i found absolutely no point to sp farm
i always get to the skills i want when i reach the lvl like 2nd book imbue at 25,fire+light nuke when i hit 30,book 2 shout when i hit 37,book 2 fire nuke when i hit 43,book 3 fire imbue when i hit 45 didnt seem to be a problem for me and im going 4 trees
and my post was comparing time spent on game with pvp power,money,equipment,hunter/merchant/thief lvl(efficiency) mainly looking at end game results
im comparing a person who spent 1month sp farming with 1 month non sp farmer and so on
not like ChuoLee whose comparing a 1month sp farmer being better than a 2-3day non sp farmer
of course u compare a lvl 20 sp farmer with a lvl 38non farmer cause they spent the same amount of time to get there
obviously someone who played much longer will be richer and better
but if u compare 2 people 1 sp farmer and 1 non sp farmer same amount of time spent sp farmer comes out at a loss

High level skills cost a lot of SP. High level skills also make a huge difference -- maybe SP farming doesn't make a difference at 40.. or 50.. but at 60+ it makes a HUGE difference.
