kinda right.. but.. fire shield decrase ur effect status to block imbues. i.e : frostbite/burn..

u can pill frostbie / freeze / burn/poison effects. but u cant move still if u frostbited ( for 2 attack time ) then fire shield show its special effect there.. its totaly blocked that efects before its start...

its very usefull imo.

it only blocks the whole effect if its 'stronger' then the imbue (i doubt its possible). if the fire shield is decreacing the imbues effect by 50 points you can still be frozen by an effect60 ice hit (random numbers) but only for a very short time in this case
its useful (i think mainly in pve) cos it allows you to use small pills insted of med ones and med's instead of large ect. it does the same in pvp, but you have to reactivate it once its over, so losing some important seconds.
but used with some effect decreacing jewels it might own

its the best skill ever for pvp. I was a nukelr fighting a ice blade a lvl or so higher than me. Even though i cant tank her hits and died, not once did she ever freeze me for more than 1 sec. The ice reduction stuff really helped, and with my shield, i was able to pumped out nukes. but hell, i still lost. no biggie.

I'm at level 28 right now and have been levelling it up for a few reasons.

1) Even with jewellry reducing the effects of ice, it never hurts to help that out. Getting frozen in PvP is pretty much auto death, so ensuring that at worst, you're only slowed so that you can immediately pill pop is a good thing.

2) If I can get to the point, that between the skill and jewellry I can overcome a majority of freezing attacks without having to pill, then I reduce the number of times that I'll have to reload my own attacks which makes my offensive power in a fight that much more effective

3) Seeing as how my jewellry is based against freezing attacks (at least presently), if, as the game expands, there is a larger presense of fire using mobs (or again, for fire users in PvP), my jewellry is much less effective and this skill would then be that much more useful. Never know what turns the game will take by the time I'm a high enough level to catch up with their top level updates, but I like to have options in case I need them.

I use it for PVE so that I can use large uni pills instead of high grade. Saves a bit of gold which definitely adds up after awhile. Without it, I need 2 large or 1 high grade to cure status that monsters give at my level. But I can use just 1 large when I have it on.
