Hi, i was just wondering if smashing series is worth it. A lot of people say its not, and i'm already on book 2. Should i keep going with it, or delete it and stick to KD?

umm
im lvl 34 ATM and im killing the blood death flowers doing this:
KD
(if down) stab
(if not) 2nd book of smashing series
im not planning on getting 3rd book or even lvling the 2nd book
i think its just a good finishing move on mobs when your KD and chains are still recharging(or wtvr)
just my opinion...
go with wat you think, its your build and your char, dont have others make it for you

Yes, its useful for PvM, but not for PvP.

I think the same way, smashing series and chains are good to have for PVM, but with lower lvls.
An example I like to use: when I got my nukes, I was using imbue + fire nuke + lionshout to kill a earth taoist. But I have 1 point in blade force too, so I used it to see the results. Good, the taoits died with imbue+nuke+blade force.
At that time, my lion shout uses 222 mp, something like that, but blade force used only 38 mp. So with 2 or 3 enemies down, the sp I dont used can kill another one without using mana pots.
For finishing moves skills with low mp costs is much more effective.

Ok, well im an int hybrid who likes to feel im a str char. I love to tank multiple mobs an I'm a master of just about every skill in the bicheon tree (being 59 I would assume I have some kinda authourity and can speak about the bicheon skills, with some sort of experience). Smashing series, smashing series. Well in my opinion I hated the 2nd book barely used it, but crosswise smash is quite enjoyable. For one not many people use it so heck you get points for being original . Now its very useful when farming mobs. Low cost does pretty good damage 2 2k slashes on farming mobs or 2 1.5k slashes on things my lvl like yetis and such. By all means 5 combo does more, but there are often instances when u cant be bothered to spend all that time flipping like a lunatic (and that irritating pause whilst leaning on sword) and/or mp. Your saviour is C-Smash. F### shout lol too costly (unless you have multiple mobs to finish off) a good quick wolverine reminiscent X slash and you move on. I hate to see nukers use 1 big nuke an then a whole other one to remove the last 1/4 of a mobs hp. For me its nuke C-Smash, nuke KD, nuke C-smash and so on jus to keep it a lil fresh . C-Smash is also a good move to chain combos. If you use 4 combo then 5 combo often you'll find yourself waiting for the 4 to cooldown. If you use C-smash in between your combos there will never be a pause between your damage. e.g 4 combo c-smash 5 combo c-smash repeat. On a personal side note I hate to see pvpers who just alternate between 2 bread n butter attacks. Glaivers-soul spear ghost spear soul ghost soul ghost YAWN, and even worse Bladers- KD KD KD till all observers fall asleep or rip their hair out lol. When I pvp I have some honour and flair throw a lil bit o this a lil bit o that combos nukes kd if im in peril but not continuously, and of course my opponents taste some CROSSWISE. So in short (yeh kinda long sorry) I think smashing series is worth it if only to get crosswise (cus as stated the 2nd book really isnt any better than the 1st to me). Dont get smashing unless your in it all the way. Also there have been posts like this bfo people search bfo u post lol. The last one actually inspired me to continue smash series, because yes the 2nd book makes you wonder, although it is a pretty quick stab.

it's a must if ur planning to lvl up as a blader, other than that the only skills a blader needs are kd & stab at the caps w/ pvp
& yes, crosswise smash does a little more dmg than devil cut blade
for me
it's devil cut blade, c-smash, then ascension/heaven(depending on which 1 is in cooldown)
it takes out my lvl mobs

EXCEPTIONAL COOLDOWN how many other moves can you use twice in one imbue. You can probably pull off 2 using one as low as the 2nd book imbues.

Really good in PvE because it will link your chains.
Not as useful in PvP because of stun or KD will knock out your chain and by the time you recover your KD or chains will be back.
