Hi
Can anyone here explain to me what the skill Lion Shout does, and is it recommended for a pure intelligence to max?

no, it is indeed a mini-nuke and yes the dmg is lower but it is helpfull at higher lvl's cuz its a finish off move. as a pure int I recommend you to max it.

Anyone else have any input?

Max it all the way. An alternative it blade force (for bich users), but shouts have AoE, so max it.

I use Soul-Cut series more often than Lion shout series.

yes .. soul cut more often .. cuz a lot cheaper on MP usage and it does the job.

shout is much faster and faster attack + AoE maybe something u need when getting ganged. i think it is awesome when u get all 3 books.

i dun see many pple using shout during pvp ... maybe they are too focused in getting in their sss/ghost or KD/stab followed by nukes. shouts are fast with understandable lower dmg. maybe all u need to finish off your opponent. well, everyone will have and should have their own play style.

Its good for grinding too when you have more than 1 mob on you. And i dunno if anyone mentioned it, but its instant... no fancy animations before you launch it.

Its very helpful. You can lion shout faster than someone can pot. I won many battles against int builds simply because they chose to take the time to charge up another nuke when all it would have taken was 1 or 2 lion shouts to finish me off.

Nice for killing lower level mobs while trading too.

Yeah, but he didn't know that. You can't see a players HP, so if he didn't kill you with the shouts, you would've gotten some hits in, killing him without him having a chance.

yes ... it's so fast that it smacks immediately after the nuke lands on your target.

during lag .... i see shout landing before nukes even tho i nuke first. and i am assuming that it has to be due to lag. unless someone else experiences otherwise.

i was thinking for pure intel, u wouldnt have any nukes until lvl 30 where the light n fire nuke finally comes....so that would mean a pure intel nuker dun hv any NUKE before lvl 30???
so lionshout is basically the ONLY nuke a nuker can hv from lvl 19-29

so i would recommend up lionshout till lvl 30 and stop, get wolf thunderbolt to replace as nuke...if u hv spare sp, max it as u like as u will hv 1 more fast recharging nuke (personally i wun coz thunderbolt has transfer 3 so its something lk AOE)

just my opinion...any mistake? :)

u can also let this shout skill lag behind your main skills. mine lags abt 10-20levels behind char. saving on mp usage is the thot behind it.

I have it maxed out and use it all the time when grinding. I'm farming red-eye ghosts which I can 2 nuke but black-eye ghosts require 2 nukes and lion shout to kill. also good on mobs that are slightly too strong to kill with a single nuke( like black robbers).

You should max it...it really sux to nuke something in PvE only to leave it with a sliver of life and then take a hit cuz ur unimbued melee does nothing. With nuke+shout any mob that is around ur level won't get anywhere near you (unless they're aggro of course, but then the AOE from shout is even more useful :D)
