Post subject: Garment question Posted: Fri Apr 06, 2007 4:55 am |

When i equip a full garment set, i get -20% mp bonus but not the +20% movement bonus. I am currently 9 gap sp farming at lvl 16, so i'm wondering if you need the Wind Walk Skill Series to get the bonus?
I'm positive my movement speed isn't increased at all when i wear the full set. Any ideas?

My movement speed is NOT increased. I timed myself running across the courtyard with and without the set and it took the exact same amount of time. There was no lag either. I've tried multiple times.
Plus, the bonus is supposed to be 20%, the same as lvl 1 wind walk. I have another character with lvl 1 wind walk in full armor, on another account, and he outruns my guy with full garment set every time. They should be the same.

With full garment and grasswalk at 38% I outrun armor wearers using movement scrolls. That means I'm getting the 58% that I should be getting. You must just suck at timing.

You are getting the extra 20% movement speed. You are. No question about it. You just are.

ok, u were running with garms, then u took them off. try running with garms, then take them off and put an armor set on. you will see a major difference.

well you should get that bonus if you have ALL garments on. but even if you claim you don't, there's nothing we can do about it.

You can't tell him to take off the garments and put on armor... that doesn't prove anything.
From what I understand:
Garments - 20% increase
nothing - regular speed
Protector - 10% decrease
Armor - 20% decrease
These may not be accurate but they give you an idea. Armor is slower than garments... but it is also slower than protector and not wearing anything. That doesn't help when comparing "garments" to "nothing".
I'm pretty sure garments do increase your speed. You may want to check to see that you do infact have an entire set of garments. I think you don't gain the bonus if you are missing even one piece. If that doesn't work, maybe trying getting only garments of the same degree. I have mixed degrees and I go faster, so not sure how that would help.
If you still see no difference, I have no idea what to tell you. Maybe you are just imagining that you are going slower, but then again, who knows?
Hope this helps.

Super wrong. Garments is 20% increase, protector is 10% increase, armor and nothing are both regular speed.

yes!
Garments = 20% increase + 20% less mp usage
Protector = 10% increase + 10% less mp usage
Armor = 0% increase
Nothing = 0% increase
thats the way it is, no other. that way!

Yeah, slacker is a retard.
Anyways, you're probably running at a slightly different angle, so it takes longer to get across with garments.
If not, then it's because you don't have a full set of garment.
Make sure to wear gloves, shoulder (talisman), boots, hat, legs, and body.
If you're missing one of those, then you don't get the bonus.

Yeah, I made a mistake but I already said I wasn't sure. It still makes no sense to switch to armor even if it is the same as with nothing on. Why do the extra work? I'd appreciate people not flaming for no reason. I did not say those values were exact. Then you go on to basically repeat what I said.
