I've been here for a long time, but didn't register 'till now
Let's be scientific a bit
My plan is to test:
- the influence of defence on damage calculation
- the influence of jewelry on damage calculation
- the influence of attack/parry rating on damage calculation
- dependance of block chance on % increase (passive and Mountain Shield)
I'll need several volunteers for this since I'm currently a killer with ~4500 PK points for killing bots

(you don't have to volunteer in a formal way... just do the testing and post results

Test 1What do we test:We test how much does defence influence damage recived
What we need:- full STR (or STR hybrid) character willing to inflict damage without using any skills and buffs and willing to tell us his phy attack power, his phy balance and his attack rating
- a blader or swordsmen (but bladers recive less damage so they'll need less pots) that is approximately the same level as the attacker (or even one or two levels lower) and willing to share info on his defence with and without a shield and his parry rating (preferably his parry rate should be the same as the attacker's attack rate, but nevermind)
Actually, for test 1 anyone with a shield will do... but bladers and swordsmen can do more than one test at the same time (not implemented yet).
How to test:
Before any attacks, the defender should remove all jewelry!
The attacker
(preferably a glavier 'cause they have higher damage) should attack the defender 200+ times - 100 successfull non-critical attacks while the defender has his shield on and 100 non-critical attacks while the defender doesn't have his shield on
(btw, if you feel like it, you can write down both normal and critical attacks and check how much crits increase damage and how many times a block happened)
