No no no, BUM around, not burn... It means just... kind of... wander around like a bum. I guess. The plane is expensive and I don't have a lot of money so I am trying to only take one flight there and one flight back, and while I am traveling I can get a train pass that lets me on trains in 3 countries.
I know I don't have time to even see all of one country, and it's too bad. Can't afford to stay that long. So I will probably take the train through Belgium, Netherlands (those two count as one for the train pass) Germany, Denmark, and stop wherever I feel like stopping in between (or wherever there is a free couch) to look around.

ah ok ... I had been wondering why it was a "m" when I c/ped it ... had read it as a "rn" ... we have some kind of phrase here which could be translated with "burning around" I guess ... when you travel fast and rarely stop ... so it could have been burn as well
Oh well, hope you enjoy your trip

Or what looks more likely is that I will cut out a bunch of countries since this is getting very complicated to arrange, especially finding couches everywhere. England, Denmark, Sweden is looking more likely.

You mean at a bar, or at a show, or off the shelf? Anyway, that's okay, I'll just steal beer from Alfred. If he tries to stop me I'll tell Gargamel that his character name means "tits" in Swedish and get them to change it to "Borkborkborkborkbork"

London all the way here!
I got a floor. A really really good one too! Its big, flat, and 100% level.
It used to be white too! Lots and lots of room.
This is why I steered clear on the house on fire topic. I haven't got all that much that can actually burn...

6 euros for a beer is not very normal, but yeah it is expensive when you go out. That's why we have pre parties and after parties. Get drunk - go out - come back home and finally be able to give the girl you brought with you a drink.

Nah, I actually cut my trip short and stayed in the London area the whole time. Was a lot more expensive than I thought, plus going alone was, well, lonely. Had fun though.

ahh too bad you didn't make a whole Europe trip, maybe you should do it again with some more money. Then you should definitely visit Holland, go to Amsterdam, see the red light district, coffee shops. Everything illegal in America only 100ft away from eachother. Maybe even visit a true 100% dutch hardcore party.

Lessee, there was some guy's couch in Leytonstone (neighborhood of London? or just a tube station?), there was the guest room of an SRF member pictured a few posts up who nobody seems to recognize, and there was a youth hostel in Willesden (again, neighborhood or just tube station name?).
I saw Buckingham Palace and the British Museum and Camden and Trafalgar Square and a load of other stuff. I walked around a lot. I hung around in St. James's Park a lot because it was lovely and a nice break from the rest of the city. I filled almost 40 pages of a journal and no it's not going on a blog and no you can't read it. I saw the full moon over the Atlantic Ocean with its light reflecting across the water from 20,000 feet up and it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
I had an excellent lamb curry at a Polish cafe, English tea (I am used to green and herbal tea, now I see why people add cream and sugar), onion bhajis (hawt) and then a whole lot of other less good food. Seriously, aside from curries and kebabs, London didn't seem to have much decent regular people food. I saw a lot of fried chicken joints and Subway was everywhere (yuck) but I only passed one Italian restaurant and didn't notice a single Mexican place the whole time I was there. And everywhere I stayed the kitchens were small so I didn't get to bake the whole time. :(

Yeah. Terrible. But I blame the place I got them from, it was dirty and cheap. I didn't make an attempt to get really good fish and chips because we have great fish and chips in New England too, don'cha know. I was just passing by the place and I was hungry.
