Hi all.
First i'd like to thank all of you who are replying to this thread

I have a level 14 pure int. Currently im a lvl 14 archer/spear (i change occasionally) and the only skill i have is the level 5 fire imbue (river fire force lvl 1).

Im planning on a pure int fire/lightning nuker, and so its either a sword/shield or a spear. I have read into both these build options but im still undecided.

I have farmed from 1-6, then brought my fire, heuksal and lightning up to lvl 5 and carried on grinding. At level 14 i brought this down to an 8 level gap.
So im grinding at an 8 level until lvl 16 where i will do a 9lvl gap grind and then once i level, im delevelling and doing lvl16 to lvl17 again in skill point farming. Only once, its kind of a compromise between Korean gameplay and that guide written here.

I will use the bow/spear until lvl 16, but at lvl 16 i will choose my weapon for the rest of my character.

But which?

Sword and shield or spear?

Is there a difference in my nuke damage?
Obviously the shield offers more defense which is necessary.
But i might kill quick enough with spear....

Please post your opinions and reasons here

There's no "right" answer, it just depends on what you want.

Simply,

Spear = more damage, less defense
S/S = less damage, more defense

MOST, im not saying all, but most pure int's go sword and sheild because of more defense. But it is really up to you.

Pure INT spear is definitely the best damage dealer in the game, but are also amongst the most fragile. If you want to do a spear, you should build a hybrid INT.

As for pure INT, sword is recommended due to the shield. It gives extra defense and using a sword itself gives you the best survival tool there is: Knockdown.
Pure INT bicheon nukers are very powerful.

As above stated:
Spear = more damage, less defence
Sword = less damage, more defence

Let me put it another way:
Spear = a bit more damage, very low defence
Sword = a bit less damage, knockdowns, stabs, extra defence.

Yah go with s/s if your pure int and btw up your sword skills to lvl 7 and your fire

But i think i'll stick with bow till lvl 21 or 24. Easier to SP farm

yes there is a dif between the s/s and spear

personally im going both and thats what i would reconmend becuase it is good for pvp

if u go pure use s/s and if u go hybrid go spear (for the 90 cap)

u CAN go hybrid wif s/s...just add 22 str pt and get 1 k extra hp n dun overdo it (naked mag 90% is min. for s/s, unless u hv sun sword at 60+ u wun kill any 1 below 90% mag)
tts wat Hades did in my server, she was unbeatable wif her 85% s/s hybrid

man this guide again... i don't like it. It has some weird .. weaponskills that many nukers wouldn't even concider taking.. what lvl is the guy that made this?? did he test it all out?? or just wanted to make a build that was diffrent??

I wouldn't folow this guide as far as the weapon skills...imo it got some useless skills in it... but make up your own mind.
