Have you had a dream when you suddenly realise your dreaming and then you can control you dreams?
Like your at the supermarket, and suddenly you fall and feel nothing, and you realise you are dreaming then you can turn yourself into a bear, the president , or even turn yourself invisible.
All in this small virtual world where you are "God" and make the rules called your own subconscious. If you are interested in making this happen frequently read this book.
Quote: Lucid Dreams are proven scientifically to be existent thanks to Stephen LaBerg Quote: Lucid Dreams have no side effects
WARNING! When in a Lucid Dream do not be reckless, because you will only destroy your own subconscious
hey satman don't click this link cuz is from wikibooks and I know you hate wikipedia.

No, he doesn't mean escaping from a dream. He's talkin about controlling your dream, while you're still dreaming.
And yes, I get those sometimes. They're awesome, I can do anything. I do wish they happened more often, so I'll check out that book. Thanks.

Lucid dreams are when you realised that your dreaming and for a few minutes you can control that world inwhich you dream in and then u wake up.
But theres some techniques in this e-book that can show you how to stay asleep in those.
if ur paralyzed in those dreams theres only 1% chance that its a lucid dream.
its 99% that you having a nightmare

Closest I came to 'controlling your dream' was when I was dreaming and I suddenly realised that it was just a dream.
Then I woke up.

I'm always dying in my dream for some reasons these few days.
Yesterday I dreamed animals shooting me with guns.
And day before that I dreamed that I had a heart attack while playing soccer.
And I think a lucid dream is just something like imagination with a sub conscious dreaming state. Not fully unconscious, sub-conscious - somewhat like a daydream at night.

I talk to people who say they can fully control some of their dreams.
I'm not one of those people.

Um well I've never done it. I don't believe my consciousness has control during my dreams. I've died in a couple dreams. If I could have controlled them, I would have prevented that. Wouldn't you think?

Nah, one time I realised it was a dream and decided to kill myself just to see what would happen ><. So I jumped off a cliff, landed on my ass and woke up.

I've seen a character on Olympus named LucidDream. Also, I practiced lucid dreaming a couple months ago. It was really easy to pick up because I was on a polyphasic sleep schedule. Being on a polyphasic sleep schedule not only gives you more awake time, but since you enter REM quickly you're able to retain some of your conciousness and it become very easy to have lucid dreams. Since you can make a dream feel like it covers days when you are lucid dreaming even if you're only asleep for 20 minutes, the polyphasic sleep schedule combined with lucid dreaming makes you feel like every day is 40 hours long, but not in a boring or tiring way. It's like you get everything done and you are well rested and spend time dreaming.
Since I quit my polyphasic sleep schedule and went back into monophasic sleep, I haven't had a single lucid dream, though I feel I've come pretty close. I'm gonna get back into polyphasic sleeping now though.

I've just read this statistic gotten through recorded data of thousands of dreams by a professor Calvin Hall: Two thirds of all dreams(of all people, not just one given person) are in black and white. which means only one dream in three is colored - although another interesting note he made was that even colored dreams are often minimally, or feebly colored. Some people he claims have no color dreams, while a very few may have only color dreams. He says the majority sometimes dreams in color, but more often than not dreams are in black and white.
Just thought that was interesting.
