On topic again, you should get GTA vice city stories, MGS portalable ops ,and Rachet and clank, they are pretty good games. All shooters tho.

i had a psp a long time... but then i broke it... :( anyway :)

you should get a 2gb card and put some movies/music/pictures on it :) they really look nice, and you should learn how to download games (torrents).
SSX for psp is one of the 40 games i have played and i think it was one of the most fun

Psp's are awesome, just got mine on the 28th. Gonna be downgrading it to version 1.5 so I can put linux on it. The only bad thing about psps is if you want to have a huge video or music collection, youll need a 1g, 2g, or 4g memory stick. If you bought the starter pack like me, they give you a 32mb stick which is useless, so I had to go on ebay to buy a 2g and with shipping it put me at $50.

i have a 512mb stick, so it should be sorta useful, i too am in the process of trying to downgrade it to 1.5... it is a bit confusing...

if you successfully get yours downgraded could you pm me and let me know how you did it?

once it is downgraded, you can install all the cool programs on it. GRRR must downgrade!

Heard that Sony's going to make a new version of the PSP soon.
Don't know much about it, guess it'll be smaller and it'll get a stronger battery.

Q: How long does the PSP's battery last?

A: The short answer is that it depends on what you're doing. The longer answer is that Sony has stated that the battery should last around six hours. With simpler-looking games, like Lumines or Mahjong Fight Club, that definitely seems to be the case. But with more graphically intensive games, like Ridge Racers, the battery doesn't last quite as long. Based on our estimates and a few battery-draining tests, Ridge Racers seems to last somewhere between 90 minutes and three hours. Playing with the wireless networking switch flipped on will also further reduce your battery life. The system has an auto-sleep function that stops the wireless drain, but that switch is there for a reason. Turn it off when you're not using it.

Video and audio will likely drain the battery differently, depending on where the content is coming from. It's less power-intensive to read from the memory stick slot than the universal media disc drive, though without any audio discs and only one demo video disc full of short games and movie trailers available now, it's difficult to actually put a number on this. Considering that the screen will black out if left unattended, it seems reasonable that you should get a good amount of battery power out of the system when listening to audio.

This is for the standard battery by the way. There are better ones available.

i trained my batetry so it lasts around 6 hours when music full blast

i gave him treats and hes a good boy, nah simply keep draining the battery until theres no power, and recharge , keep doing over, it makes battery last ages

is that it..6 hours?? lol thats pants and yes the PSP is shit compared to
a DS and anyone who knows anything about games, will know that
statement is true :D

i already downgraded it. i didnt mess it up. now i have emulators for a ton of systems.

lol @ satman thinking a DS is better, you are retarded my dear friend. retarded.

having a hacked psp allows you to have emulators for a ton of different systems. not to mention i never have to buy a game for it, i can download .iso's for the games i want now through torrents and never have to pay 50 dollars a game again. :-P

lol well like i said before anyone who knows about games, would know
that a DS is better..cheaper, better games, longer batterylife and no
cheap add ons

i mean so what if a PSP can play MP3's...lol who doesnt have an MP3 player
now a days and they cost like £10, also they pulled the PSP UMD movies
from stores because their shit.

basicly a DS can do what a PSP can but with games that are good.
of course your a graphics whore and a retard who thinks bigger, more
expensive and better graphics means better

EDIT

and if the PSP is so much better then explain why the DS is outselling
it around the world?? and as for the movies..lol only a retard would
enjoy watching a film on such a tiny screen, oh and the PSP internet
surfing is shit compared to a DS

oh what? lol the DS does have better games. and like i also said why
do you need a console to play movies and MP3 files when you can just
get a MP3 player or a dvd player/pc to watch movies

if you know how to use a psp (1.50) and have a descent memory card... i promise you its 100x better than a ds.

and what about the DS. it can be modded as well and has a 2GB memory
card as well...which, when you put into your Wii can update your DS
(via Wii connection to the internet) and games

Hmm, DS doesnt have Grand Theft Auto or Metal Gear solid. The PSP can do alot more then play games, The screen is larger, and has a higher resolution then a DS, and, theres this game called Burnout Legends, available on both the DS and the PSP, it basicly wins the arguement of why the psp is better then the DS. Also, Not only can the psp play psp games, but It can be modded to play Playstation, Nintendo, gameboy, and custom made games. TBCH, you only defend the DS because you don't currently own a PSP, I was the same way until I could finally buy myself one :3 I currently have about 53 mp3s on my psp, around 30 youtube and google video movies(love showing these to my friends) and ALOT of games saved onto my memory card, so i don't need to lug around the UMDs. On my DS I have a cute little mario sticker on the back.
