This cabal sounds good...
Can anyone actually confirm when it will be F2P??
Also can anyone suggest the best build/class/race on cabal??
ps: does cabal have anything like a job system?
Gamemasters displayed on the homepage with official QnA threads on their official boards, thus it's real.
There's no such thing as a best build, but I'll try to give a brief summary of all the different classes.
1) Warrior: You can choose between 2 different weapons a great sword or a daikatana. A daikatana requires a bit more dex as a great sword. They wear heavy armour.
It's the typical melee class, they can deal and take damage due to a high hp pool.
2) Wizard: You attack with 2 orbs in your hand and wear martial outfit. You're main stat will be int for damage. It's a class that's great for 1on1 pvp and guildwars/nation wars but expect to be targeted first in the later 2. Their defence is quite low due to wearing martial, but you'll have a great def rate, which means you won't get hit much in PvE. They have a shitloads of AoE which can freeze, stun or knock your target back. Great for solo'ing high level dungeons.
3) Blader: A wielder of 2 blades, 2 katana's or 1 blade and 1 katana. They wear martial. There's 2 main stats are dex and str. Blade is a bit more str orientated, while katana's are a bit more dex orientated. A str blader could try to wear heavy armour, by focusing his stats mainly in str, while keeping int and dex to a bare minimum. The only problem with a heavy blader is the fact that later armour are class restricted and when the next set of clothes (mithril) comes, it won't be beneficent to keep wearing green osmium (2 sets lower). Choosing between heavy armour green osmium, or terragrace (iirc) depends on your choice. upgrading/crafting of green osmium is far easier become double slotted GO's drops are far less rare as double slotted terragrace.
4) Force archer: A class which uses 2 crystals (or 2orbs if you want to) to summon an astral bow. It's the ultimate level class. They wear the battle set and their stats are mainly int based, but more dex as a wizard. Place most stats in int for a damage based build or mainly dex for a more support orientated character. A FA will find a party in high level dungeons and maps quite easy because of its buffs and heals. A good attacking FA is hard to make and not many succeed.
5) Force blader: The hybrid char of Cabal which uses an orb in 1 hand and a katana in the other. Their stats are evenly distributed in the beginning of the game, but in the end dex pays of more as str/int. Thus people will focus on that one more. In the beginning you'll train with magic mostly but after a while your melee skills will become better. They focus on debuffing the enemy. Certain skills have it as a side effect (stun, DOT, lowering stats,....) or you can use the real debuffs. They wear battle but if you raise your stats as a force shielder, you can wear heavy armour until Green osmium combined with a sword and a crystal.
6) Force shielder: The tank in cabal. You have 1 purpose and it's taking damage. As usual the slowest char to level in cabal, but you'll be a hard nut to crack. The stats are almost evenly distributed, but there's a bigger focus on str as on int (or dex). They wear heavy armour and use a blade and a crystal (which they use to summon an astral shield). As the FB, they focus in the beginning on magic skills, rather as melee, but it changes. It might not be the best player for PvP, but it's great in environment PK. because you can tank a lot more as your opponent, you try to drag as many mobs on him while you can, while pvp'ing. This way he'll die faster as you.
Thus no best class, each one has its advantages and its disadvantages. It's well balanced.
It hasn't got a jobsystem but it has some fun other things.
1) combo'ing: You can combo your attack when you complete a level 10 quest. Combo'ing will let you execute your skills faster and you'll have a higher damage output. And combo's never miss as another plus. In PvP combo'ing is a must, because combo'ing negates status effects as stun or knock down. Meaning you'll fall down, but you can still attack as long as you don't break the combo.
2) Aura, battlemode 1 and 2: The improved zerk. At lvl 20/30/50 you can do quests to earn your aura and BM's. An aura is the same for every class but the looks depend on which aura you choose. An aura is a temporarily boost of all your stats. It can let you survive difficult parts of certain dungeons.
BM1: not all classes benefit as well from their BM1 as other. Wizard, warrior and blader have something that resembles an aura, with different stateffects.
FA can target 2 enemies instead of 1.
FS can't get hit by normal melee attack (EG no skills) and the damage is turned back to the opponent. In PvP it's useless because everyone uses skills.
FB gets something great called force enchanter. It can gigantically boost it stats with the use of magic skills but he won't be able to use them during battle as they are considered buffs, they'll need to use melee skills, which isn't a problem at all.
BM2: you change your weapon(s) for an astral weapon.
Warriors get a scythe. They can only use normal attacks (which hurt as hell, don't get fooled) or throw the scythe to an opponent for a high damaging skill with some AoE.
Bladers get to wear 2 claws like wolverine from the Xmen. With them their normal attacks turn into flashy painful punch and kick work. Their special skill includes jumping up in the air and giving a shitload of pain to the one who's facing the kick due to crit chance/damage increase from the skill.
Force archers exchange their bow for a pair of guns. They can attack 2 things at the same time and pierce them with many bullets in a short time. Their special skill is a straight forward attack skill without any AoE.
Force shielders are equipped with a giant shield which they use as a Jojo. No skills for them as well and the special skill is an AoE around himself. He needs to gather up the mobs first.
Force bladers exchange their orb for an astral shooter. They charge the shooter with melee skill and they can unleash energy with magic skills. There are 3 levels of charging and each level will have a bigger AoE field. Their special skill is a devastating AoE skill in which you throw your katana in the air and in a perimeter around you, you'll inflict pain to your surrounding while it looks great.
Wizards get 2 bizarre things on their hands and they can target 2 things at the same time just as a FA. Their BM2 is a great looking AoE attack in which they jump up and nuke the shit out of things.
